Witnessing the Thrilling Moments of the 50th Anniversary Celebration of China-Thailand Relations
5-Day Reunion with Old and New Friends at the 50th Anniversary Celebration of China-Thailand Relations
and a 4-Night Super Practical Travel Guide
As May drew to a close, summer, long-awaited, arrived. People hurried to and fro, their figures traversing paths of the past, and now, on the road of the present, meeting with the passage of time. Some say the evening breeze in Thailand carries the scent of frangipani, and the half-century friendship between China and Thailand flows like the Chao Phraya River. We, meanwhile, are writing new waves with pixels and radio waves.
Day 1: Cloud-bound Journey, a Golden Promise of Fifty Years
Sawasdee ka! The warm smiles and attentive service of Thai Airways flight attendants, purple has always been my favorite color. The flight from Guangzhou to Bangkok is only a little over 2 hours, and even the round trip is less than a one-way flight to Xinjiang for me. Thinking of this, I suddenly felt an inexplicable joy, realizing this is a geographical advantage unique to us southerners. And the moment the cabin door opened, the golden emblem of the 50th Anniversary of China-Thailand Diplomatic Relations at Suvarnabhumi Airport greeted me.
Day 2: Witnessing the Thrilling Moments of the 50th Anniversary Celebration of China-Thailand Relations!
I was honored to be invited by the Thai Tourism Authority to participate in the event, witnessing up close the keynote speech by Thailand's most beautiful Prime Minister, Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra. I also ran into many friends from the tourism industry. Also in attendance were: the Chinese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Thailand, the Minister of Tourism and Sports of Thailand, the Commissioner of the Tourist Police Bureau of Thailand, the Governor of Bangkok, and others. Between China and Thailand, cultures are blending, emotions are resonating, and hearts are moving towards each other! At the event, I also learned about many new ways to explore Bangkok and its surrounding areas.
Day 3: Checking In at Bangkok's New Landmarks, and Enjoying Food, Accommodation, Entertainment, and Shopping
Do you enjoy savoring gourmet food while playing golf, watching heavy rain pour down and feeling the gentle breeze, with time unfolding like a painting? Or would you prefer to watch up close a thrilling and addictive Muay Thai match where police and ambulances stand by, a competition where lives are on the line? Or perhaps visit One Bangkok, the new landmark built with hundreds of millions of funds, or the famous ICONSIAM and Central World shopping centers in Bangkok? There's a dazzling array of delicious food, and I received so many souvenirs my hands were tired. Thai people are truly super enthusiastic! Then, on the top floor of the Hyatt Regency Bangkok, encounter the charming nightscape, enjoy a drink, and let Bangkok's night gently embrace you, as the city's hustle and bustle transforms into a romantic symphony. Alternatively, enjoy a delicious breakfast at the Salil Hotel Thonglor 57 Bangkok, a five-star hotel on Sukhumvit 57, in the morning. I absolutely love their Western opulent style and modern chic design, the high-ceilinged lobby, spacious rooms, and all the beautiful and exquisite touches that melted my heart.
Day 4: Rayong, Thailand: A Low-Key Treasure Province in Summer!
Do you know what it feels like to have unlimited durian? Do you want to paddle a solitary boat and explore a vast, winding ecological lake, experiencing mysterious tranquility? Do you want to quietly await the sunset glow under coconut trees or feel the waves barefoot in the wind? Then come to Rayong.
Rayong Province, located on Thailand's eastern coast, is approximately 80 km from Pattaya and 185 km from Bangkok. It was originally an area ruled by the ancient Khmer people. This beautiful and ancient city is also a land of fish and rice, famous for Ko Samet, and is also a major producer of Thailand's renowned Monthong durian.
Look, the Rayong Provincial Wetland Park boasts deep forests, concealing the greenery of the season, with time gently transforming into dappled light in the corners, and the lotus leaves standing gracefully, exuding leisure. Every part of our journey offered different scenery; even the ordinary could, unknowingly, capture one's heart. Whether vibrant or serene, yesterday's clamor has faded away.
Come on, they all say #ThailandAlwaysCharmsYou#. With a bite of mango sticky rice, a greeting of #SawasdeeHello#, a cup of Thai milk tea sweet to the core, or the baptism of a segment of ocean waves, truly feel what it means to: live passionately, hide within the ordinary, and be a sailor in the world of life, perhaps only then can you better set sail for all ports.
