#SeoulSuburbs The rose garden of Yeongdong Chupungryeong Water Tower, which I waited a whole year to visit after seeing a photo from last year. The weather was definitely nice when I left, but it got cloudy as soon as I arrived, and half of the roses had already fallen from the previous rain and wind, and the other half were still blooming, so I came at the wrong time 🥺 It's a rose garden filled with various kinds of roses, and there are still some blooming roses, so it looks like it'll be really pretty for a while! / Yeongdong🌿 The place I'm going to introduce is Yeongdong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do! It's the perfect place for these days when it's hard to travel due to the prolonged coronavirus. Last summer, I really wanted to travel, but I couldn't go to crowded places because of the coronavirus, so I found this place! First of all, there are really no people. I almost took off my mask when I walked around ㅎㅎ (Of course, I wore it when there were people!) It's also great for healing. In particular, I really recommend the 'Yangsan Palgyeong Geumgang Dulle-gil'! It's a 2-hour course that starts from 'Gangseondae' and follows the perimeter road and returns to Gangseondae. Unfortunately, I went in the middle of summer and it was too hot so I couldn't finish it all. ㅜㅜ I think it would be really great if you go in the cool weather like now! The places in the photo are Gangseondae and Songho National Tourist Site! They're all included in the Yangsan Palgyeong Geumgang Dulle-gil course. #summervacay Took a spontaneous hike up Hwangaksan, and wow why is no one talking about this place?! The trail starts off mellow, just strolling through forest paths with leaves crunching under your feet. Super quiet, barely ran into anyone, which was kinda perfect. Total zen mode. Halfway up, things get steeper and a little sweaty, but nothing too wild. The best part? The ridge walk! You get these awesome panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and little pockets of farmland below. It’s the kind of view that makes you wanna just sit down and snack forever. At the summit, there’s a cool marker and some nice spots to chill. I brought some triangle kimbap and just took it all in. Not a tough hike, but enough to feel accomplished. Also, major bonus, hardly any bugs compared to some other trails I’ve been on lately. If you’re ever in Yeongdong, give Hwangaksan a shot. Super underrated and totally worth the climb.

#summervacay Mt. Cheontae in the Yeongdong area is one of those lowkey spots that totally delivers without trying too hard. The trail isn’t wild or super steep, just a nice, steady climb through quiet forest paths that feel like a nature spa. It’s calm, green, and honestly kinda meditative. One of the coolest surprises was the temple tucked along the way. Totally peaceful, incense in the air, monks doing their thing, it just added this really chill vibe to the whole hike. I ended up sitting there for a bit, just soaking in the silence. As you get closer to the top, the views start peeking through the trees, and they’re gorgeous. Not dramatic cliffs or anything, but that wide, rolling countryside that just makes you wanna stay a while. There weren’t many people around either, which made it feel even more special. If you’re into laid-back hiking with a little bit of soul, Mt. Cheontae is seriously worth checking out.

#summervacay Minjujisan isn’t one of those super hyped-up mountains, but honestly? That’s what makes it such a gem. I went in with zero expectations and came out totally refreshed. The trail starts off nice and forest-y, like nature’s version of a cozy blanket. Super quiet, with just the sound of rustling leaves and birds doing their thing. There were a few steeper spots that got my legs talking, but nothing too intense. The best part? That soft mountain mist that rolls in as you go higher. It wrapped around the trees and made everything feel all mysterious and dreamy, like walking through a Studio Ghibli scene. The summit isn’t flashy, but the peaceful vibe up top is chef’s kiss. Great place to chill, munch on trail snacks, and just enjoy the quiet. Barely ran into other hikers, which made it feel like my own little mountain escape. If you’re into low-key hikes with soul, Minjujisan’s your go-to.

#summervacay Went hiking at Hwangaksan and it was honestly the perfect mix of peaceful and scenic. Not super touristy, which I loved, just good vibes, fresh air, and some solid nature time. The trail wasn’t too intense, more of a steady climb with a few steep bits here and there to keep things interesting. Definitely beginner-friendly, but you’ll still feel like you accomplished something by the end. The forest was super green and calming, and there were a bunch of spots along the way to just stop, breathe, and take in the view. At the top, the panorama is chef’s kiss, rolling hills, endless trees, and that sweet feeling of being above it all. There’s also this little pavilion where you can chill and snack before heading back down. If you’re looking for a low-key mountain adventure that doesn’t leave you totally wiped out but still makes you feel like you did something cool, Hwangaksan is the move.

#New York Flight Ticket Event Address: 2 Nanggye-ro, Simcheon-myeon, Yeongdong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do Okgye Falls, which I visited when I traveled to Chungbuk, is a small waterfall located deep in the mountains. There weren't many people, so it was nice to walk around quietly, and seeing the 20-meter-high waterfall fall refreshingly, I thought it was a place worth visiting at least once when traveling to Chungbuk ㅎㅎ I recommend coming in the summer because it seems cooler.

The site of the 'Nogunri Incident' where many civilians were killed during the Korean War From July 26 to 29, 1950, for four days, retreating US troops gathered residents and refugees of Jugok-ri and Imgye-ri in Yeongdong-eup inside a culvert and committed massacre. This is the place where the bullet marks remain.

Today, we're introducing Donghae Restaurant located in Yeongdong, Chungbuk. This place offers breakfast, opening as early as 7:30 AM. The owner and staff are elderly, so please be patient.
