Hushan Temple - Guanyin Buddha
One of the three major temples in Changhua, Hushan Temple is dedicated to Guanyin Bodhisattva. With over 200 years of history, the temple is home to an ancient banyan tree of similar age that remains lush and vibrant to this day. Designated as a third-grade county-level historic site, the temple has been preserved and restored, allowing visitors to appreciate its century-old charm in the modern era.
Every year, worship ceremonies are held during the lunar months of February, April, June, and September, attracting numerous devotees who come to pay homage to Guanyin Buddha.
In recent years, the addition of the Daylily Flower Festival has complemented these events, significantly boosting tourism. Local vendors report that visitor numbers have already exceeded 20,000 this year, even though the festival has just begun. Thanks to the efforts of relevant authorities and dedicated volunteers, measures such as crowd management and traffic control have been implemented to prevent congestion.
