We had a great night walking round Hurghada city, it was very busy and had lots of taxis. Literally one every 10 seconds, there are so many bizarres and shops. We had Chinese food and visited a lovely cafe. We bought some perfume and stocked up on some lovely spices. #desert The Sahara Desert is the largest desert in the world. It is located in North Africa. It can be seen in Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, etc. This time we came to the Sahara Desert in Egypt. The first time I heard about the Sahara Desert was because of Sanmao. Many people think that the Sahara Desert is dirty, poor and deserted, but Sanmao lives a wonderful life here. The Sahara Desert under her pen is like a fairyland on earth, and even her wedding with her lifelong love Jose is held here. We entered the Sahara Desert from Hurghada, Egypt, experienced camel riding, off-road vehicles, sand skiing and other places, visited the local ancient tribes, and also felt the sunset in the desert. We were very satisfied. People are really very small in front of nature.

A day trip out on the Red Sea took us to the beautiful Eden Island near Hurghada. This is a private island and only accessible through an organised excursion. There beach is clean and there are good facilities including a beach bar with cocktails, mock tails, snacks and fresh fruit (be aware they are expensive compared to other areas in Egypt). The sun huts are free to use but you will need a beach towel. The sea swing gets busy so if you want the typical traveller photo you will need to wait.
