Huaxi Wetland Urban Park 🤩 This is a WONDERFUL Urban Wetland. You get all the goods here, beautiful riverside, nice mountains, lotus ponds, birds and wildlife. 🌲 All of it is a wonderful quiet little escape smack dab in the middle of the city. It’s delightful! 🚲 You can rent bikes (from 15-20rmb for the day) from many shops along the water and spend a wonderful afternoon cycling along the bike path. There are ladies selling sweet treats along the way, would highly recommend stopping for some fresh shaved noodles midway in the park just after the lotus ponds. Delicious. 🏊‍♂️ Locals (and you) can swim in the river at several spots which is a nice way to refresh on a hot day. Watching the dozens of men trying to catch fish, walking underneath the huge arched pedestrian walkway or just sitting right beside the river and watching the waterfowl swim by. I stayed in the park which was very nice as the river is so peaceful and tranquil first thing in the morning. Would highly recommend this and the best thing is IT” S FREE!
