The more vibrant the night market in Changsha gets as the night goes on.
It takes about 3 hours to travel from Hong Kong to Changsha, Hunan by high-speed rail. The most famous attraction in Changsha is undoubtedly its night market. The night market in the city center is one of the unique cultural experiences of this city, especially after nightfall when the streets are brightly lit and bustling with activity. It is not only a gathering place for locals but also an excellent spot for tourists to savor Changsha's food and culture. The market stalls are filled with a variety of items, from snacks to handicrafts, making it a place where people linger.
There are several popular spots in Changsha's night market. First is the Huangxing Road Pedestrian Street, one of the busiest commercial areas in Changsha. The night market stalls are set up along the street, attracting a large number of visitors. The central square of the pedestrian street often hosts various performances, creating a rich cultural atmosphere. Another popular spot is Wuyi Square, where the night view is particularly enchanting. The pedestrian path in the center of the square, combined with the surrounding lights, forms a beautiful scene perfect for taking photos.
Changsha's night market is famous for its rich variety of snacks. Here are a few must-try delicacies: stinky tofu, chopped pepper fish head (a classic Hunan dish with tender fish head paired with spicy chopped peppers), sugar oil baba (a dessert that is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, coated with syrup, and is one of the popular sweets in the night market), fried chicken fillet, and cold noodles.

Changsha | Everyone goes to Wuyi Square for a stroll
The most popular shopping district in the entire Changsha must be Wuyi Square, which can be clearly felt from the subway crowd. It's perfect for spending a day citywalking.
1️⃣ Changsha International Finance Center
Commonly known as 'Changsha IFS' or 'Changsha International Financial Center', the main tower is 452 meters high with 93 floors above ground, making it the tallest building in Hunan Province. The secondary tower is 315 meters high with 65 floors above ground. The design of these 'twin towers', one taller and one shorter, is inspired by Zhangjiajie, a tourist attraction in Hunan. The 7th-floor rooftop garden viewing platform not only offers a panoramic view of the city's beauty but also allows for a photo opportunity with the Kaws bear, making it a must-visit spot for many who come to Changsha.
2️⃣ Huangxing Road Pedestrian Street
Named after Huang Xing, a founding father of the Republic of China, with his statue at the entrance. The street is about eight hundred meters long, with three levels inside, bordered by Simenkou in the north and Nanmenkou in the south, and is the core area of this bustling city. Basically, all the chain store brands are concentrated here, and it's a place where you can't miss eating, drinking, and shopping.
3️⃣ Denglong Street
An ancient street near IFS, which used to be dominated by lantern shops, hence it was also called 'Lantern Street'. It mainly consists of snack shops.
4️⃣ Liren Alley
The name of the alley comes from the Confucian Analects, 'Liren Wei Mei', meaning 'It is beautiful to live among benevolent neighbors'. In 1862, Changsha's earliest photography studio 'Changqing Pavilion' was established here.
5️⃣ Baiguoyuan Alley
Named for the many ginkgo trees planted here. It is one of the four remaining ancient sesame stone streets in Changsha. Here, you can find sesame stone roads, Shikumen, clear water brick walls, old-style mansions, the Hunan Peace Liberation History Exhibition Hall, the former site of the 'Xiangjiang Review' printing house; there's also the 'In Changsha - Picking Stars by Hand' hand-painted wall, and a cultural tourism photo story exhibition; it's suitable for leisurely strolls and check-ins.
6️⃣ Guanyinjing Alley
With its quiet and serene ancient-style doorways, it has opened many small, trendy coffee shops where you can enjoy delicious food, sit back, rest, and take photos.

Changsha Travel Guide
From Changsha back to Kunming, busy completing some tasks and then went to Lijiang. After sending friends back to Hunan, I still wanted to write the travel guide for Changsha as soon as possible.
Due to off-peak travel before May Day, accommodation was actually not expensive.
For the convenience of clarifying my thoughts, I still follow the timeline to keep a diary.
Departing from Kunming by high-speed train to Changsha South, the hotel booked was the Happy Man Hotel opposite the Fubuhe subway station, a standalone building with a decent environment, gym, laundry room, breakfast, and nourishing porridge, quite comprehensive, enough for college students traveling. 300 per night.
Regarding Chayan Yuese (a tea brand), there really is no need to squeeze into the crowded ones. Just order at any shop with fewer people, usually, you order offline and then queue for verification. After verification, don't wander around, wait for the freshly made drinks. There are too many ordering guides, just search online. Their Gudemuning and Yuanyang Coffee are highly recommended to try, personally, I find them more surprising.
We were three people traveling, the 'Stupid Radish Liuyang Hunan Cuisine Restaurant' - don't be fooled by the small bowls, but the portions are large, we ordered five dishes and couldn't finish, costing 191 yuan, recommend the vinegar chicken and spicy beef tripe.
Xiaolong Shrimp Changsha Shrimp Restaurant - garlic shrimp, flavored shrimp, braised large shrimp, crab, two pounds each, plus other dishes, costing over 900 yuan.
Laojie Fish Mouth - the fish mouth is delicious, the sauerkraut fried vermicelli and stir-fried pork are very appetizing, over 200 yuan. In short, you can buy vouchers online for these places.
The hotel is close to Du Fu Pavilion, May Day Square, Huangxing Road Pedestrian Street, Nanmenkou, all very near. Wenheyou is a bit further away. But all can be part of a post-dinner digestion walk. It is recommended to visit these spots at night to see the night view. Additionally, Pozi Street and Taiping Old Street are also in this circle. Friends who can walk should just walk. Changsha's subway is very convenient, the clustering effect of attractions is good, all are close, taking the subway saves money and hassle, use Amap for navigation if unsure.
See the last picture for a detailed guide. Purely sharing, all personal experiences and insights, no promotion, if you have questions, feel free to comment or message privately.

When in Changsha, one must always take a stroll through Fengying Xili
Fengying Xili is truly the most comfortable place I've found in Changsha this time. Although it has become somewhat commercialized, there are still many interesting coffee shops and clothing stores.
The cold brew at Hammer Coffee is stunningly refreshing with a crisp blackcurrant flavor, and their hand-poured washed Gesha has a clean and rounded taste. The warm wooden tones of the cafe's interior and the Shanghai alley-style street view outside the window make for a very comfortable environment.
Then, walking along Huangxing Road pedestrian street to Huogongdian, it's like instantly stepping back into Wangfujing pedestrian street (crowded version).
Finally, arriving at Chaozong Street, there are many trendy brand select shops, but it feels too noisy and crowded, not as comfortable as Fengying Xili. However, I did find a green hat that I really like in a Korean niche clothing store, haha.
The dinner I had tonight was the most satisfying and joyful meal I've had in Changsha, at Beierlou food stall. The Luo's shrimp and barbecue were both incredibly delicious!!
After a full meal, we went for drinks, starting with the new branch of Bar Farble Yu, which is very popular among local young people. 'Fu Yao Zhi Shang' has a unique atmosphere, combining a traditional Chinese medicine shop with a dark theme. The drinks were good, mostly on the sweeter side with low alcohol content.
Then we moved on to the place I was most looking forward to when planning the trip, CMYK. It truly lives up to its reputation as one of the Asia Best 50, run by the owner of Miaoqian Bing Shi. 10/10! They have sweet drinks suitable for ladies as well as strong flavors for those who prefer a punch. We had a total of eight drinks, and I especially loved the peanut soy milk with egg yolk, the coffee chocolate, and the 'Low-key' (which includes Changsha's special osmanthus oil).

Day 1 of being in Changsha, starting with food
Day 1 in Changsha and we've kicked off the eat-eat-eat mode😋, with a focus on eating from morning till night🔥
📅Tour itinerary:
Taiping Old Street ➡️ Orange Island ➡️ Pozijie Food Street ➡️ IFS ➡️ Huangxing Road Pedestrian Street
📍Taiping Old Street: A gathering place for many delicious snacks, you must start with a cup of 'Tea with a Pleasant Color'🧋, the famous internet-famous check-in wall is right here💕
📍Orange Island Scenic Area: How can you miss Chairman Mao's statue when in Changsha? Get a scenic area train ticket and go straight to the statue area. It's quite a distance to walk, about 3km one way, and note that it is currently under maintenance until the end of December‼️
📍Pozijie Food Street: One of Changsha's famous food streets, where you can experience specialty snacks in one go, it's simply too delicious❗️Truly eating from morning till night~
📍Changsha IFS: It can be said to be the most bustling area, with many internationally renowned brands and trendy shops, a paradise for shopping enthusiasts, and many people head straight to the 7th floor for Kaws, making it an iconic check-in spot🔥
📍Huangxing Road Fuxing Street: A bustling commercial street, the night view is not to be missed, because it's too beautiful, the dazzling neon lights have a very Hong Kong-like feel
The snack streets in Changsha are almost all together, you can't finish eating, you simply can't finish, even at eleven or twelve o'clock at night there are still many people👭👬

Changsha City Center and Botanical Garden
Changsha is a city located in Hunan Province in China. It’s famous for its spicy cuisine. If you go to the city center to Huangxing pedestrian street you can find a lot of restaurants, shops, and beautiful skyscrapers. The most famous is IFS. You can easily get there by subway “Wuyi Square” subway station. Another landmark is a botanical garden. It’s very beautiful, especially in spring when all the flowers are in blossom. I recommend to go there in the end of February, March and April. You can see there a lot of colorful roses of different kinds. It’s a nice place to take photos. Changsha also has some other places of interest such as HB Town, Yanghu Wetland Park, Orange Island etc. Don’t forget to visit these places to enjoy your holiday#Chinese #Changsha #botanical#ifs

Huangxing Walking Street 🇨🇳 Changsha
Seriously tasty spicy food!!!
Changsha is one of my favourite places for food in China. It's spicy and I know I already said that, but honestly it's spicy. From the fish to tofu and beef dishes everything we tried was awesome and this is a place that value a good portion size.
The Huangxing Walking Street is a crowded bustling street packed with tasty snacks and great local food restaurants. Every 30m or less is a line for Changsha tea.
It's a night time trip for sure and I would recommend taking the metro and walking or if your hotel is near enough just walking. The traffic in this area at night isn't ideal.

Huangxing South Road in Changsha City is a century-old street. It is the commercial street that best represents Old Changsha and the soul of Changsha. Huangxing South Road Commercial Pedestrian Street is a major measure for the transformation of the old city of Changsha. It is a well-planned design by famous planners and landscape architects. It integrates shopping, leisure, entertainment, tourism and catering. street.
The most prosperous place in Changsha is concentrated here. Huangxing Road Pedestrian Street is one of the most prosperous areas in Changsha and is a pedestrian commercial street. It starts from Simenkou in Furong District in the north and south to the south gate, with a total length of 838 meters. You can also walk from here to Pozi Street to eat food at the Fire Palace. You can also go to Baishajing. But now its a bit messy because of the subway repair. It is recommended to wait for the Changsha subway to be completely repaired and play~~ If you dont look at the scenery, but look at Changshas no night, you have to come here, and the hottest time here is more than just At night, and in the middle of the night, the bar is here.
