Rose flowers by the Huangpu River.
Half beautiful, quite beautiful, sharing with you to enjoy the flower rain together, the entire row of roses are bursting with blooms, with seven or eight or nine flowers crowded together on a single branch, from afar it looks like cotton candy dancing in the wind.
With the broad view of the river, the temperature in May is comfortable with a gentle breeze. It's a very comfortable morning exercise. The holiday is so wonderful. I hope to explore more cycling routes this summer.

The Huangpu River and Shanghai Beach are the city symbols of Shanghai. They are places and itineraries that cannot be missed to enjoy the night view of Shanghai Beach. On one side of the river there are skyscrapers with bright neon lights; on the other side there are characteristic buildings from the old Republic of China period, which show the atmosphere of history and vicissitudes of life against the backdrop of skyscrapers. The alternation of old and new adds a unique beauty to Shanghai’s night scene

You can see the prosperity of the Bund and the beauty of Lujiazui from the river. The overall score is perfect!

Discovering Shanghai a 2 days Itinerary: A Journey Through Iconic Landmarks
Shanghai, a city that beautifully marries the traditional and the modern, is a treasure trove of iconic landmarks and vibrant neighborhoods waiting to be explored. My recent visit took me through some of the most fascinating sites, each offering a unique glimpse into the city's rich history and dynamic culture. Here’s a look at my unforgettable journey through The Bund, Tian Zi Fang, Zhang Yuan, and 1933 Lao Yang Fang.
Started off with Zhang Yuan, a beautiful garden oasis tucked away in the bustling city. This historic site is a perfect escape from the urban chaos, featuring tranquil ponds, lush greenery, and traditional architecture. As I wandered through the gardens, I felt a sense of peace and relaxation, allowing me to recharge before continuing my exploration.
Next on my itinerary was Tian Zi Fang, an artsy enclave known for its charming narrow alleys filled with unique shops, galleries, and cafes. The vibrant atmosphere was palpable as I strolled through the bustling streets, admiring the creativity that permeated the space. I spent hours browsing handmade crafts and enjoying the local art scene, picking up a few souvenirs along the way.
Ending the night at The Bund, Shanghai’s famous waterfront promenade that offers breathtaking views of the Huangpu River and the futuristic skyline of Pudong. Walking along the promenade, I marveled at the stunning architecture of colonial-era buildings, each telling a story of Shanghai’s storied past. The contrast between the historic facades and the modern skyscrapers, like the Oriental Pearl Tower and Shanghai Tower, is simply mesmerizing, especially in the early morning light.
No visit to Shanghai would be complete without exploring the 1933 Lao Yang Fang, a former slaughterhouse transformed into a creative hub. The building’s unique architecture features a maze-like design, making it an intriguing place to wander. Inside, I found a mix of shops, art installations, and eateries that highlight the innovative spirit of Shanghai.
As I wrapped up my journey through these iconic landmarks, I was left with a profound appreciation for Shanghai’s rich cultural tapestry. Each site I visited offered a different perspective of the city, from its historical roots to its modern innovations. Whether you’re wandering along The Bund, exploring art in Tian Zi Fang, or discovering the creative spaces at 1933 Lao Yang Fang, Shanghai is a city that promises unforgettable experiences at every turn.

🌃 As night falls, the Huangpu River becomes even more breathtaking. The dazzling lights on both sides of the river reflect off the water, creating a mesmerizing scene. Boats glide across the river, their lights twinkling in the night like the brightest stars in the sky.

Shanghai City: Where Tradition Meets Tomorrow

Discovering the Heart of Shanghai: A Journey Through Tradition and Modernity
Shanghai, the pulsating heart of China’s east coast, is a city where the past and future effortlessly blend. My trip to Shanghai left me in awe of how this metropolis preserves its rich heritage while embracing cutting-edge innovation.
The first stop on my journey was The Bund (Waitan), Shanghai’s iconic waterfront. Strolling along the promenade, I was mesmerized by the architectural wonders—a seamless blend of colonial-era buildings standing proud alongside futuristic skyscrapers across the Huangpu River. By day, the views were breathtaking, and by night, the skyline came alive with vibrant lights, showcasing the city’s incredible transformation from its historic roots to its status as a global hub.
Next, I stepped back in time at Yuyuan Garden, a tranquil oasis amidst the city’s bustling energy. Nestled in the heart of Old Shanghai, this classical Chinese garden transported me to a world of ancient elegance. The intricate design, serene ponds, stone bridges, and beautifully carved pavilions reflected the artistry of the Ming Dynasty. Walking through the garden, I marveled at how centuries-old traditions continue to thrive in the heart of such a modern city. The nearby Yuyuan Bazaar was perfect for tasting traditional snacks and shopping for handicrafts.
Exploring these landmarks reminded me that Shanghai’s charm lies not just in its dazzling skyline, but also in its ability to preserve and celebrate its deep cultural heritage. It’s a city that honors its past while relentlessly pushing the boundaries of the future—a perfect destination for travelers seeking both history and modern marvels.

Dreamlike Riverside Avenue
It's been a long time since I came to the riverside in Pudong. After dinner, I slowly strolled along Zhangyang Road to the Dongchang Riverside Green Space, and I was fortunate to sit here and enjoy the beautiful scenery on both sides of the Huangpu River.
🌊River View:
I have loved watching the beautiful scenery by the river since I was a child. The water of the Huangpu River beats against the embankments on both sides, looking from a distance like a huge piece of silk undulating up and down in the breeze, giving people a grand feeling in this vast space. The lights of the tall buildings on the Bund on the opposite side also reflect here, attracting passers-by to stop and admire and take photos. The evening sky sets off a unique and beautiful picture.
🌳Riverside:
The wide and elegant walkway, combined with the lush greenery beside it, and the buildings such as the Shanghai Tower and the Shanghai World Financial Center visible in the distance, form a special perfect combination. It seems to be something that the Xuhui Riverside near my home cannot reach.
⛹️Humanities:
Like many green spaces along rivers, the first thing that cannot be missed is various fitness facilities. There is also a 🏀court here, where many young people are galloping. Outside, more people of different ages are walking here. Compared with Puxi, there seem to be more young figures here, and everyone is strolling leisurely. Of course, during the summer vacation, there are also a large number of tourists from other places bringing their children here to travel, and this place also strives to carry its inclusiveness.
This is the beauty that Dongchang Riverside Green Space brings to people. It has both beautiful natural and cultural landscapes, as well as relaxing and pleasant relaxation. I hope I can often come here to stop and stay!

My visit to Shanghai was an amazing and exciting experience 🌟. The city combines modernity and tradition to give you the opportunity to explore various landmarks 🏙️. I enjoyed visiting the Bund area, where historic buildings overlook the modern skyscrapers across the Huangpu River. Visiting Shanghai Tower was one of the most striking experiences, and I enjoyed the panoramic view of the city from above 🗼. I enjoyed traveling to the traditional Yuyuan Garden with the beauty of nature and great traditional architecture 🌸. I ate delicious food in a local restaurant, especially delicious dishes such as dumplings and Xiao Long Bao 🍜. The staff at the store and restaurant were very friendly and helpful, and thanks to that, my experience became softer and happier 😊. It was a great visit and I am looking forward to returning to explore the beauty of Shanghai more.

Shanghai Hilights
Just back from a whirlwind trip to Shanghi, China, and I had to share two of my absolute favorite experiences! Shanghai is a vibrant city with something for everyone, but these two spots really stood out.
Shopping Extravaganza: Nanjing Lu is a shopper's paradise! This massive pedestrian street is a sensory overload in the best way possible. From high-end designer stores to local shops brimming with unique souvenirs and delicious street food stalls, you could easily spend days exploring everything Nanjing Lu has to offer. Don't be afraid to bargain for the best deals and soak up the lively atmosphere. This is a great place to find that perfect gift or treat yourself to something special.
Soaring Above the City: The Shanghai Tower is a must-see for any visitor. This architectural marvel pierces the sky and offers breathtaking panoramic views of Shanghai. From the observation deck, you can see the entire city sprawl out before you, with the Huangpu River snaking through the heart of it all. There's even a glass-bottomed section if you're feeling adventurous! Tip: If possible, try to visit on a clear day for the most stunning views.
Bonus Tip: If you're looking for a delicious and affordable meal after all that shopping, grab some juicy soup dumplings (xiao long bao) from a local vendor! They're a Shanghai specialty and absolutely divine.
Shanghai has so much more to offer, but Nanjing Lu and the Shanghai Tower were definitely highlights of my trip.
