Executive Suite Experience at Mitsui Luxury Collection Hotel Kyoto✨
🎈This time in Kyoto, I chose the Mitsui Luxury Collection Hotel Kyoto, which was designed by my favorite designer Andre Fu.
🛏️I stayed in a Nijo Room and an Executive Suite. The hotel upgraded us to a Nijo Castle view room on the first night, and said it would be upgraded to an executive suite in the next two days.
🌟The executive suite is about 80 square meters in size and has a full sense of space. The view is great, even though it’s just a city view, but the houses in Kyoto are super cute. The living room has standard facilities such as a writing desk, sofa area and guest bathroom. The bedroom has a bathroom, a dressing room, a small dressing table and a small desk. The atmosphere of the room is great, the details are perfect, and the finish is extremely high. However, there is a small disadvantage. You cannot turn off all the lights in the room with one click on the bedside. You have to turn on the table lamps one by one😅. The bed is very comfortable, soft but not collapsed, and the bedding is also very smooth. The bathroom is beautiful, and the shower water pressure is amazing. It feels like some of the water will be atomized, and the water volume is sufficient without being too impactful.
💁The hotel service is also very good, sit-down check-in, welcome tea and sugar. After checking in, someone will be taken to the room to introduce the facilities. The room was cleaned super clean, the bed was also cleaned again, and the service response was very fast.
🍽️In terms of dining, I had Toki and breakfast. Toki is the hotel's signature restaurant, Japanese and French cuisine, seems to have one Michelin star, and tastes good. But there was a waiter who didn’t speak English very well and barely understood a few words when introducing the dishes😆. The breakfast in the hotel is average. If it's free, you can try it.
📍The hotel is located next to Nijo Castle, and there are many delicious and fun places around. However, it is a bit far away from the 2020 and 300s levels, so you need to take a taxi.
Overall, Mitsui Luxury Collection Hotel Kyoto is definitely a hotel worth experiencing. I personally feel that the experience is better than the Park Hyatt Kyoto (except for the view).
