2025 Yokohama Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in April)

On the first day, we arrived in Yokohama around 3 PM. After checking in, we headed to Vanilla Beans the Roastery. Next, we walked to the Red Brick Warehouse, and then to Leonard's Donuts, a shop originating from Honolulu, Hawaii, known for its Portuguese donuts without holes. We bought an original flavor, which was quite delicious when eaten hot. We continued walking to Tonkatsu Aoki Yokohama Bashamichi. After a satisfying meal, we walked to the Yokohama Air Cabin Sakuragicho Station and took it to Unga Park. Finally, we walked back to the hotel, enjoying the view of the Ferris wheel along the way, which was beautifully lit up at night. The itinerary also includes Yokohama Chinatown and Yamashita Park, which we visited on other days around noon. We took the subway to Yokohama Chinatown and Motomachi-Chukagai, then strolled through Yamashita Park, walking back to the hotel. The cool weather in March made the walk quite pleasant. Compared to Tokyo, I prefer Yokohama a bit more. Although it’s not as bustling as Tokyo, it’s less crowded, making it a more comfortable place to travel. The accommodation prices are also relatively cheaper, and Yokohama has all the shopping destinations one could need.

One of the coolest moments in Odaiba was seeing the life-sized Unicorn Gundam statue! It’s massive and looks like it just stepped out of an anime. The details on the Gundam were insane, and I loved how it switches between Unicorn Mode and Destroy Mode at scheduled times – complete with lights and moving parts! The plaza around it is also lively, with lots of shops and food spots inside DiverCity Tokyo Plaza. A must-visit for anime lovers and anyone into futuristic vibes! First time in Yokohama, I thought it was just an ordinary city But it turned out to be so comfortable and relaxing It takes just over half an hour to get to Yokohama from Tokyo You can take the subway or a direct bus! The direct bus is a great way to enjoy the scenery along the way The most surprising thing about Yokohama is that you can see Mount Fuji so clearly I was lucky enough to take a photo with Mount Fuji in the background! #Cable car Yokohama Air Cabin is an aerial cable car connecting JR Sakuragicho to Canal Park in the Minato Mirai 21 Shinko area. It opened on April 22, 2021. The cable car is about 630 meters long and 40 meters high. The one-way trip takes about 5 minutes. One cabin can accommodate 8 passengers. It is Japan's first urban circular aerial cable car. Through the windows of the carriage, you can see the beautiful cityscape representing Yokohama and Minato Mirai, including the large Ferris wheel Cosmo Clock 21 in Yokohama Cosmo World. Whether you are on a date with a couple or traveling with children, you can enjoy the fun of Yokohama's aerial walk comfortably. I travel by myself during off-peak hours and enjoy a carriage by myself, but during peak hours I may have to share the carriage with other people. The carriages have independent air conditioning and play light music. You can take a ride at night to enjoy the night view of Yokohama from the air. The one-way ticket costs ¥1,000 yen and the round-trip ticket costs ¥1,800 yen.
