[2025 Sigiriya Stay] Travel Guide for Hotel Sigiriya (Updated May)

We had a wonderful stay in Hotel Sigiriya during our visit to the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, the most iconic landmark in Sri Lanka. The hotel is 2 km away from the entrance of Sigiriya Rock, which is also known as the Lion Rock. We were welcomed with amazing views of the Lion Rock the moment we set foot in the hotel. The rock could be seen clearly from the outdoor pool area and we could even see the visitors on the rock using the telescope provided! Our hotel room was clean and spacious. There were French doors leading to patio with sitting areas. Our stay included buffet dinner served in the open-aired restaurant in the hotel. The hotel was very accommodative to our request to provide takeaway breakfast as we needed to leave before breakfast time to climb the Lion Rock. Breakfast is served buffet style, and the food is delicious and the staff is friendly, so it is highly recommended. This hotel is easy to use for both solo travelers and couples.
