Hotel Nikko is directly linked to Kansai airport so really very convenient for those with early flight to catch or reach Osaka late at night. Because I had to take an early flight back to Hong Kong, I stayed at the Nikko Kansai Airport Hotel again. The hotel is the only hotel in Kansai Airport, and the net room rate for a twin room is about HK$800 per night. The rooms with sea views are relatively large. Although the facilities are a bit old, the rooms are clean, well-maintained and comfortable. Although there are several hotels near Kansai Airport, the room rates are relatively affordable and they provide free shuttle buses to the airport. However, I still prefer staying at Hotel Nikko. The hotel has express check-in, and it only takes 5 minutes to get to the airport, so it is easier to plan your time. For someone like me who has a lot of luggage, it is super convenient. When returning the car, I can just move the luggage onto the trolley and push it to the door of the room. When you check in in the morning, you can use the trolley at the hotel entrance to push your luggage directly to the airline counter. #Japanese Hotel

On my last day in Osaka, after waiting for three hours in the departure hall, I was informed that my evening flight had been cancelled and rescheduled to eight o'clock the next morning. In order to get more sleep, I decisively booked the JAL Hotel at Kansai Airport. A double room cost HK$1,300 per night. After many twists and turns, I finally got back into the country. Along the way, I asked the airport staff how to get to the hotel, and they all told me to just go out and cross the street and it was just across the street. As expected, after exiting the terminal and passing through the JR station, you will find the hotel building! My tired body relaxed a lot at once. The hotel lobby is on the next floor. However, because we had just made the reservation, the hotel had not yet confirmed our order, so they had to ask us to sit down. Fortunately, it was received ten minutes later. The hotel staff also upgraded our room type and provided a complimentary mini bar as an apology! It’s so sincere! It wasn't their problem in the first place! Now I can finally go to the room, and I can finally put my mind at ease! The room is much bigger than I expected, and I can see the helipad up close from the window. The mini bar has orange juice and beer, and the bathroom is fully equipped, completely eliminating the hassle of packing again. The bath set is from La Mer, the skincare products are from POLA ~ What’s even more surprising is that the shower head in the bathroom is from Refa! ! I took a refreshing bath, just like taking a spa treatment 🧖🏻♀️and my mood improved a lot! ! The downside may be that the bed is a bit hard. Although the air conditioning has a low air volume, the temperature is acceptable. After spending the night comfortably, I went downstairs the next morning and just dropped my room card into the collection box before checking in at the terminal - super convenient! A side note: The restaurants in the departure hall are also of good quality, although they are very expensive. The ramen in the third picture is from a noodle shop with a long queue. I had the yuzu ramen which was very fragrant. The fourth picture is the yakiniku bento near Gate 22. I recommend the lunch buffet at the restaurant "The Brasserie" located inside the Hotel Nikko Kansai Airport, which is directly connected to the station! The menu has a wide variety of side dishes and desserts, so you won't be able to finish it all. It costs 3,500 yen for lunch, but I felt that it was very good value for money. Although the hotel has a bit of a historical feel, it is well-maintained and clean. The hotel kindly upgraded me to the highest-level room, which included a complimentary mini bar. There is a massage chair next to the bed, allowing you to relax. The hairdryer is a Dyson brand, with sufficient power and a stylish appearance. What impressed me the most was the view from the window in the morning. The natural scenery was as beautiful as a painting, deeply captivating. The hotel's buffet breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of choices, and the staff were very polite. The dining tables were also adorned with cute Halloween decorations. After breakfast, it was the perfect way to end the trip.

The hotel is located in another building from the terminal but was easily accessible via a sky bridge. Check in was easy and swift and I got to my room very quickly. The room itself was well appointed with many amenities all provided for like shampoo, body wash, face wash, hair ties, body towels and even skincare and pajamas! Perfect for travellers who travel light or are only staying for a night as you don’t have to unpack all your belongings. I had a triple sharing room that was facing the airport tarmac and it was quite a nice view to look out to. Beds were clean and comfortable and definitely ensures a good’s night rest. It was just a short overnight stay for me but I was very impressed and would come back again if needed. Do book a stay here if you’re looking for a comfortable rest at the airport.
