In Singapore, where most hotels are expensive and small, it is very difficult to find a cheap, spacious hotel, a cheap, clean hotel, or a good value for money hotel. In September 2022, I stayed at HOTEL MONO, which is a 2-3 minute walk from Chinatown Station and within walking distance of the Bay Area. I had the impression that it was inevitable that it was small, but on the contrary, the compactness was good for a solo traveler, and the staff were kind and polite. As the name suggests, the rooms and the hotel itself are unified in a monotone of black and white, making it stylish and clean. When I stayed there, it was about 13,000 yen for a semi-double bed in a single room. All the amenities are available. Hotel Mono A cool hotel with a black and white theme, located in Chinatown, near food sources, easy to travel. From the hotel, you can walk to Maxwell Food Center and the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple. The room is a good size, not too small or big. The bathroom is not too narrow, but there is no bidet. We got a room in front of the road. At night, there may be a little noise from people eating because there are many restaurants in the area. 🚄 MRT Chinatown, take exit A, walk to Mosque Street. Who is looking for inexpensive accommodation + a minimalist style hotel? I recommend Hotel Mono // The room that I booked was a Standard Double Room, priced at around 3500 baht per night. The hotel was clean, the staff provided good service, when entering the room, there was an Amenities kit and 2 bottles of drinking water per day‼️ As for travel🚇, it's easy, just get off at Chinatown train station. It's a 1 minute walk from the train. It's close to places to eat and ChinatownPoint mall. The hotel location is in the heart of Chinatown is a definite plus. It’s well within walking distance of various cultural attractions, markets and public transportation options. Like its name, the hotel centers on a monochromatic design, which is a black and white scheme. While minimalistic and modern, it can’t save the look from the age of the building. There were cracks, aircon was leaking and mold on the bathroom tiles. For the most part, it was a pleasant and budget stay.
