KANADE TERRACE, a stylish barbecue buffet in Gajoen, Tokyo, Japan
Usually, five-star hotels will have their own brand of buffet, such as the Park Lane at the Regent Taipei, Island Language at the Grand Hi Lai Hotel in Taipei, and #目黑雅宿园 also has its own American barbecue buffet "Kanade Terrace".
Although Japanese hotel buffets are not highly rated, the variety of dishes and creativity of flavors are incomparable to those in Taiwan. The only thing that has a chance of winning is probably the sophistication and decoration, right? And the price.
Kanade Terrace is the breakfast restaurant in Yaxuyuan. It also provides lunch, dinner and afternoon tea. The cuisine is American barbecue, which is nothing more than various oven-roasted steaks. But I was surprised to see no chicken. Maybe it was thrown away to be paired with curry? All in all, it is not rich and exquisite, but the taste level is not bad.
Another commendable feature of Kanade Terrace is its stylish and elegant decoration. The marble highlights the restaurant's grandeur, while the noble metal sculptures showcase the restaurant's taste. The dining area overlooks the Pandora cafe and the waterfall garden across the red carpet corridor. In addition to the excellent view, people passing by will definitely look at you with envy when they see you dining here! (Good Savage)
When I checked in, I asked the front desk to help me make a reservation for the time slot after check-out at noon the next day. As expected, the reservations made by other guests were different. They directly prepared the best view seats for me and gave me two round tables and four chairs. Did they know that I would take a lot and there would be no space? Anyway, I come here to eat just for vanity, but the service is very thoughtful.
The lunch buffet costs ¥5,280, while the dinner set menu is ¥7,700 (please make a reservation at the hotel for dinner to enjoy a 20% discount). The afternoon tea dessert is actually more expensive than lunch, costing ¥6,600, which is quite exquisite. Both the dessert shape and the plating are artistic and aesthetic.
In fact, there are many restaurants on the first floor of Gajoen, including Chinese restaurant Haruyuki, Japanese restaurant Watarufudo-tei, Italian restaurant Canoviano, Teppanyaki Hama, Café Pandora, and American barbecue Kanade Terrace.
The decoration style of each store is very different, but they are all absolutely eye-catching and beautiful! If you have money and time, you can try out the art at each store one by one. Otherwise, you can take part in an art tour and feast your eyes without spending any extra money.
