Attractions - Benidorm has been a tourist destination within Spain since 1925, when its port was extended and the first hotels were built, though it would not be until the 1950s that it became renowned as a summer destination for people coming from inland Spain, especially Madrid. Today it is known for its hotel industry, beaches, and skyscrapers and receives as many tourists from abroad. According to the 2020 census, Benidorm has a permanent population of 70,450 inhabitants, making it the fifth-most populous town in the Alicante province and the ninth in Valencian Community.

Traveling To Benidorm Spain
Holidays in Benidorm are especially popular during the summer months. Not only is Benidorm, Spain a popular vacation destination, many from Europe have and continue to purchase vacation homes in the area. Though its climate is beautiful during all seasons, the most popular travel time is during the summer months.
There are many accommodation choices available for your vacation. It has over 35,000 hotel rooms ranging from the large, luxury hotels to the smaller more basic hotels. You could also stay in one of the 200,000 plus apartments in the city, many of which are available as vacation rentals. Benidorm Beach Strolls
#summervacay Walking along Benidorm’s beach is like stepping into a never-ending summer party, sunshine, people everywhere, and the smell of sunscreen and fried food in the air. Whether you're on Playa de Levante (buzzing) or Playa de Poniente (a bit more chill), you're getting golden sand, sparkling water, and non-stop energy.
The promenade is a full-on experience. You’ve got rollerbladers, old couples power walking, beach bums, street performers, and people from everywhere just vibing. Cafés and bars line the walkway, so you can grab an ice cream or a cocktail whenever the mood strikes (which is often).
The beach itself? Super clean, super wide, and super fun. There’s music, laughter, and a never-ending stream of people living their best holiday lives. Whether you’re into people-watching, dipping your toes in the sea, or just cruising along with no plans, it’s all good here.
Benidorm beach isn’t quiet or fancy, it’s loud, warm, and full of life. Honestly? It’s kind of awesome.

Sights and sounds of Benidorm and Alicante
The perfect beach getaway for families and couples. Clean and well maintained beaches that are perfect for sitting in the sun and swimming. Lots of accommodation available but not a wide range of food options. However, there are many options for shopping especially holiday items #myitinerary #travel #naturalwonders #seascapes #poolhotel #familytravel

Very busy beach
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Alicante (Region)
The beach is absolutely stunning, and the picturesque views and thoughtful amenities combine to make this beach the perfect vacation destination. Regardless of the season, it is always crowded with people and there are many people watching. The entire embankment is lined with cafes and shops and is always noisy and full of the smell of food. There are also a lot of dogs running around here that are not very comfortable. There are almost no bus stops nearby, so you have to walk a bit to get to the bus. The beach is generally average, but there are more comfortable places a little further away where you can enjoy privacy and relaxation with your family.

This is truly a touristy beach.
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Alicante (Region)
The wide, soft and fine golden beach allows you to relax in the sun. Not only does this beach have natural beauty, there is also an impressive promenade along the beach that is great for strolling. Its waters are very suitable for swimming, there are lifeguards on duty at all times, and the clean beaches and sea water allow you to swim far out to sea without being too deep. Provide tourists with excellent services such as restaurants, sun umbrella rentals and convenient transportation. The perfect combination of impressive scenery and amenities makes it an unmissable destination for those who want to enjoy an unforgettable vacation by the sea!

Natural unique and stunning landscape
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Alicante (Region)
Benidorm Plaza Castillo is a historic place, it is located in the old town of Benidorm, it has been transformed over the years to improve it and make it more attractive. There are even information signs describing the place.
This is a square built on the ruins of a castle according to history. The view is magnificent. It is a rather beautiful and modern viewing square, and the view of the whole Benidorm is better than that of the Mediterranean viewing platform. The Mediterranean balcony must be walked down some stairs through the Plaza del Castillo to reach the entrance of the viewing platform. Splitting the beach east and west you can see the Levante district (seen on the left when entering the square) and the Poniente district (seen on the right when entering the square).
The best thing is to look down at the sea from the height of the square, listen to the waves, smell the sea breeze, and listen to the seagulls that occasionally appear nearby. Sometimes there was music playing, which was wonderful in this magnificent place.
This is the natural and unique charm of this place. Here you can breathe pure air and it is also a paradise of tranquility. Highly recommend this historic place of unparalleled beauty, it will not disappoint.

Absolutely breathtaking views!
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Alicante (Region)
This is the most beautiful part of your trip to Benidorm and a must-see. The observation deck is located on a high cliff between the two beaches, and from there you can enjoy a truly amazing 360° panoramic view of the azure waters of the Mediterranean and the city. The walk up wasn't too difficult with no big steep inclines but it was definitely worth the effort. Whether you are an experienced hiker or just looking for an unforgettable experience, this should definitely be on your list of places to visit in Benidorm.

Great for a simple hike
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Alicante (Region)
The walk from the old city center of Benidorm is difficult, only the last 150 meters are rocky roads that can be steep and winding, once you get close to the top of the mountain it becomes flat, there are a lot of exposed natural rocks so be careful when walking. Reaching the top will reward you with a beautiful view of the cross. There are wonderful views over Benidorm, the surrounding mountain landscape and the Mediterranean Sea. It's easy to get lost if you're coming from the centre of Benidorm and the walk up there might take about 30-40 minutes. You need to have a decent level of fitness as well as plenty of water as it can get very hot.

Terra Natura is a theme park suitable for the whole family and all ages, aiming to offer more than just simple leisure and nature activities. It provides the opportunity to explore the exotic locales of Europe, Asia, and America without stepping out of Benidorm, allowing you to experience the folklore, culture, customs, cuisine, crafts, and flora and fauna of these three continents in a single day. Upon entering Terra Natura, you will feel like a traveler about to embark on various adventures, thanks to the themed areas of each region: the magical atmosphere of South America; Asia, the land of spirituality; and Europe, with its coastal life. Another highlight of the park is the animals: 1,500 animals of 200 different species, including 54 endangered species. The venue is fully accessible for people with disabilities and also features a water park and a children's play area for young visitors.

Become one of Costa Blanca's top travel destinations.
Mediterranean Coast Tour of Spain ~ Alicante (Region)
Its historic center stands on a promontory, in stark contrast to the wide avenue that stretches five kilometers along the coastline, lined with buildings, shops, and open-air cafes.
Benidorm offers a range of possibilities: from strolling along the seafront promenade or swimming in the sea, to enjoying various water sports or taking a boat trip to Benidorm Island. Not to mention the various local celebrations and the mouth-watering cuisine featuring rice and fish.
Benidorm is one of the most important tourist destinations on Alicante's Costa Blanca. Its fine sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and excellent year-round climate have made it famous, and it boasts top-notch infrastructure and services.
But undoubtedly, Benidorm's biggest attraction is its wonderful beaches. Its five-kilometer coastline features endless sandy beaches and secluded coves where vacationers can swim or try any of the numerous water sports: scuba diving, water skiing, windsurfing, sailing, and more.
Levante Beach, located north of the port, is one of the city's most beautiful beaches. It is situated within the town itself and conveniently offers various services, with easy access to this iconic beach of over two kilometers of fine golden sand. This beach is backed by a bustling seafront promenade dotted with roadside cafes and restaurants, and is also a lively nightlife spot.
Poniente Beach extends about three kilometers south of the town. Like Levante Beach, it is also backed by a long seafront promenade, offering a full range of services and convenient transportation.
Mal Pas is a quiet cove with fine sand located between Benidorm's two famous beaches, close to the town's historic area and the port.
Ti Ximo and La Almadrava are located at the southernmost tip of Benidorm, where the coastline becomes more rugged and harder to reach. These secluded natural coves are a bit farther from the city center, giving you the chance to escape the hustle and bustle of the town and enjoy scuba diving or snorkeling in the magnificent rocky seabed.
