I went to Hoshinoya Taketomi Island, which was a dream come true!! I have stayed at Hoshino Resorts several times before, but this was my first time at Hoshinoya! I was surprised by the various hospitality. First of all, the grounds are huge!!! The grounds are like a village, so it was fun to walk around. There was also free yoga every night while looking at the stars, live Okinawan folk music, ice cream and tea for snacks, and delicious awamori at night, so it was really fun. There were many other tours available for a fee, so I think you can enjoy it even without a plan!! I had a packed schedule for my 3-night, 4-day stay, including walking around the city and diving, but with such a wonderful inn, I thought it would have been nice to have a day without any plans and just relax at Hoshinoya. The stars were so beautiful at night that the Milky Way was clearly visible on my iPhone camera. The pool was open all the time, and it was really amazing to see the starry sky while floating at night. You can go to the sea from the resort, and the sunrise you can see from there is beautiful!! It's certainly expensive, but I'm really glad I went.
