Chishakuin in Kyoto, a relaxed afternoon time
🚶♀️During our day in Kyoto, we visited Chishakuin. The atmosphere here is peaceful and relaxing, as if time has slowed down here.🕰️
🏯Chishakuin is a historic temple with a simple and solemn architectural style. We sat in the temple courtyard, enjoying the tranquility.🍃
🍵In the tea room of Chishakuin, we tasted the matcha unique to Kyoto. The unique taste made us feel the culture and history of Kyoto.🍵
🕒Because of this relaxed feeling, we sat in Chishakuin until the afternoon. Watching the sunlight filter through the leaves and fall on the ground, we seemed to forget the passage of time.🌞
🌼Next time, we want to try the temple lodging. Spending the night in the temple, feeling the tranquility and mystery. Looking forward to the next trip to Kyoto.🎒

Kyoto Nishiyama Onsen Keiunkan | Japan's first luxury hotel
| Japan's first luxury hotel.🍂 In this inn with a hundred years of history, every corner is filled with Kyoto's traditional architectural style and its glorious history. Woodcut print designed rooms, exquisite and delicious Kaiseki cuisine, charming garden views... Time seems to stand still in Arashiyama, Kyoto, immersed in the elegant garden of this ancient aristocracy.
🍂 Take a boat upstream, tracing back the distant memories from the ancient capital. This waterway was once busy, with boats carrying goods and residents to and from the mountains, coming and going, endlessly. Along the way, kingfishers fly low, close to the river, on the way to Nishiyama Onsen Keiunkan in Kyoto, the breeze is gentle, purifying the body and mind. No matter what season, the temperature on the boat is always a bit cooler, and time passes a bit slower.
🍂 Looking around, the rolling mountains come into view. Surprisingly, the greenery in front of you is not naturally grown, but artificially planted; the river was rebuilt by wealthy merchants during the Edo period for water control. Nishiyama Onsen Keiunkan in Kyoto, located on the riverbank, was built in a landscape conservation area. This beautiful Japanese garden seems to ripple on the boundary between artificial and natural, reflecting a natural aesthetic consciousness. Walking on the swept path, the scattered azalea flowers on the ground lead people to the guest rooms.
🍂 The morning mist in the courtyard slowly dissipates, and the stones on both sides of the path are left with crystal dew. In the Zen garden at the other end of the garden, a 400-year-old ancient maple tree is entrenched. The blooming pear flowers remind people of the green leaves that the maple tree begins to stretch before it turns deep red in autumn. The four seasons in the garden, like the sun that crosses the sky every day, never stop changing.
🍂 The sound of gurgling water makes the quiet environment even more lonely. In the high and low sound of running water, you seem to be able to hear the sound of a doe calling her fawn in the distant forest. The breeze accompanies the cicadas, frogs, and birds, announcing the arrival of summer in waves. The moss covering the garden is like a sponge, filtering the collected various sounds into pleasant melodies.
🍂 The branches of cherry blossoms and maple leaves are cut down by windows like picture frames. Even the most experienced gardeners cannot accurately predict what they will look like in ten years, just like the wild beauty that cannot be replaced by artificial. Summer migratory birds land on the branches, swaying. When you find that the carefully designed pavilion seats can make eye contact with birds and insects, this dynamic scroll has already unfolded in your heart.

Pilgrimage to the ancient capital: 5 ultimate accommodations to immerse you in the charm of Kyoto
🏮 As the former capital of Japan, Kyoto is known for its thousand-year-old shrines, hundred-year-old buildings 🏯, cherry blossoms, and maple leaves 🍁. It is famous for its colorful culture, cuisine, and beautiful scenery 🎐. It is the spiritual homeland of the Japanese and a symbol of Japanese culture 🎎.
🎎 Today, I recommend 5 hotels for those who want to travel, where you can enjoy the beauty of Kyoto from your bed 💗.
-
🏡 Hoshinoya Kyoto | Located in the most famous Arashiyama 🌱 in Kyoto, it integrates natural scenery into Japanese classical culture design, creating a 'secluded place' 🎐. The way to enter the hotel by boat up the Hozu River has been rated as the most grand and luxurious entrance ceremony in the world. With the concept of 'waterside private residence', the facilities are built around the 'water garden' 💦 and 'stone garden'; the only 25 rooms all face the Hozu River and Ogurayama, where you can enjoy the century-old cherry blossoms and maple trees 🍁 from your window, the different scenery of the four seasons is intoxicating.
-
🏡 Suiran, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Kyoto | Located on the north bank of the Hozu River 💦, the gate retains the typical Japanese aristocratic style, like a mountain gate that packs everything behind it into the courtyard. In the space that combines traditional charm and modern aesthetics, there are only 39 rooms 🛏, some of which are equipped with open-air cypress pools ♨. The 'Kyoto · Suiran' restaurant and 'Tea House · Yasui' 🍵 were renovated from century-old buildings from the Meiji era. The hot spring spa not only uses pure natural tea seed oil for body care, but also offers special facial treatments with Kyoto green tea and jade 💆.
-
🏡 The Ritz-Carlton, Kyoto | Located to the east of Nijo Castle, it was formerly the private residence of the Mitsui family 🏯. The Kajii Mon gate, which has guarded the Mitsui family for three hundred years, serves as the main entrance 🚪, and the sound of trickling water and four-season vegetation embody the concept of 'one with the garden'. The 161 rooms are decorated with antique wood, 👨🎨 is the culmination of Fu Houmin's minimalist style. As the only hotel in the city center that draws natural hot springs from deep underground, it has a 1000㎡ spa center 💆, creating a top-notch sense of tranquility with a special scent 🎐.
-
🏡 Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto | In the 800-year-old 'Sekisuien' ☘, it integrates tradition and seasonal features to create a harmonious environment. 🛏 123 rooms and 57 residential suites are designed with the theme of 'past and present' in Kyoto, capturing the full view of the 'Sekisuien' in all four seasons 🍂. In addition to the tea room 🍵 floating in the pond of Sekisuien, it also has the largest spa facilities in Kyoto. The occasional geisha and kabuki performances 💃 showcase the classical charm of Kyoto passed down through the generations ✨.
-
🏡 Park Hyatt Kyoto | Located at the end of the Ninenzaka in Higashiyama, Kyoto, ⛩ it complements the iconic landmarks, temples, ⛲ sacred gardens, and natural four seasons, forming a unique architectural treasure 🔮. Adhering to the Japanese philosophy of 'one with the garden' design 🎨, it creates 70 rooms and suites, cleverly combining the unique culture of elegant art in the ancient capital of Japan and the elegant beauty of the Park Hyatt brand 🎐.

The most beautiful place, you deserve to have.
Although it's not maple leaf season, it's still unbelievably beautiful. Take a boat from the Moon Crossing Bridge in Lanshan and head to the secluded Peach Blossom Land.
Upon arrival, there will be staff at the pier to greet you.
When we left, all of them waved goodbye to us continuously!
