There are more opportunities to locate pop-up stores and cafes overseas than in Singapore. In Seoul, I have located many special collaborations and I save time from travelling to the actual place. Here at AK Hongdae, there is a Cinnamonroll pop up cafe whereby Cinnamonroll character has been voted the most popular character in the Sanrio rankings. This character is white and blue colours so the entire cafe is designed in these colours. You will have to get a queue ticket and wait for you turn to order food. This is a newly open franchise store selling all Korean idols merchandise. It is different from those Idol merchansides found at myeongdong station. Withmuu carries more merchandise and even concert lights as well. You can get more than just calendars, posters, mugs and etc at Withmuu. At this Withmuu outlet in AK Hongdae, there is a cafe within the store and fans can gather together to unbox their purchases. If you are into Korean pop, you can come over here. ...😁 It's the 4th day of our Korea trip. Today is the day we travel back to Seoul. We checked out at 9:00 AM. We booked the KTX high-speed train at 1:00 PM. In the morning, we stopped by a cafe first 🧡 at "Etalee". ☕️Etalee, a cafe with egg tarts, coffee, and tea. The shop is decorated cutely, like you're sitting and eating in Europe. The journey took about 2.30 hours. I'm warning you to leave enough time for the trip. We almost missed the train this time 🤣 🚆 When we arrived in Seoul, we ate at the auntie's shop in the station. Tteokbokki, Sundae, and fish sticks were delicious too. Full stomach, time to check-in at the accommodation. We will stay here for 4 nights in an Airbnb accommodation (interested in which host, please contact us) 🛍Located in Hongdae, a popular shopping area, close to the subway entrance, convenient for traveling. The room is on the 3rd floor of the building. If you have heavy luggage, it will be a bit tiring because there is no elevator. Inside the room, there are 2 bedrooms, 1 living room, free internet, washing machine, and a good host who answers all questions. Myeongdong and Hongdae are well known for their amazing street foods, snacks, night life atmosphere but also their shopping! This waffle shop is named the waffle shop inside AK mall at Hongdae and they have such delicious waffles for sale. These waffles are small and easy to eat on the go. You can get awesome flavours like cream cheese and seasonal flavours like strawberries. My favourite to go for is almond because I like nutty flavour. It is awesome to be able to travel and I have the opportunities to try out new things and taste new flavours. I never knew waffles can look so cute and taste so delicious. 📍Shin Migyeong Hongdae Dakgalbi The food was really tasty! Slightly oily but it was fine because we were all freezing from the winter cold so this was a comfort food. Got the mild spicy - it was good with only just a small kick! (For spice lovers maybe you can up a spice level) Dish originally comes with Tteokbokki already so we added ramen instead of having rice. Portion was huge - ordered a 3 person serving, good enough for 4! The shop opens at 12 and we got there at slightly 15 past 12 and managed to get a seat! You can go cafe-hopping at one of the many cafes around the area, fashion shopping for trendy clothing & accessories, enjoy street performances & more. While at Hongdae, we chanced upon a Tinder Korea pop-up kiosk event for Tinder members. Members can go for the free pop-up photo booth, enjoy & play games for some prizes. There's also a small goodie bag for each member too. We also saw street performances from a guy who performed a song with rap on one of the streets. You can take the subway and alight at Hongik University station and walk around from there. There's quite a lot to see and one can easily spend a whole day there.
