Natural scenery
The Hong Kong Wetland Park consists of an indoor "Wetland Interactive World" covering an area of 10,000 square meters and an outdoor "Wetland Reserve" of over 60 hectares. A wide variety of creatures can be seen in the park, and many types of wetlands can be seen. There is a very distinctive shell wall outside the park ticket office, decorated with a large number of shellfish, and seeing them from a distance means that you are in the park. Entering the ticket gate is the visitor center (located on the basement floor), where you enter the "Wetland Interactive World" unit. There are five exhibition gallery units, "How Much Wetland Knows", "Wetland World", "Human Culture", "Viewing Gallery" and "Wetland Challenge", which are highly popularized. Go to the bottom of the basement and turn right upstairs (called the first floor), and you will pass through these five exhibition galleries in turn. In the wetland world unit, three different types of ecological environments are simulated, namely the northern tundra, tropical swamp and Hong Kong wetland. Along the way, you can learn a little knowledge about the migration of migratory birds and reindeer, and you can also see the Malayan turtles and alligators in the tropical forest, which is very interesting. The viewing gallery on the first floor is a good place to overlook the marshes and wetlands. Continue walking to the "Wetland Challenge" unit, where you can challenge an interactive game. Then go back to the basement, where there is also a screening room and a swamp adventure game area, where parents can accompany their children to experience and play together. Follow the directions to go from indoors to outdoors. At the entrance of the wetland reserve is the Beibei House, where a small bay crocodile, Beibei, found in the New Territories of Hong Kong lives. Through the transparent glass curtain wall, you can see Bei Bei swimming in the outdoor pool. The next stop is to stroll along the creekside roaming trail, where you can see the different ecology of the upper, middle and lower reaches of the river. Continue to go counterclockwise to the Wetland Exploration Center, where you can take a break, and then enjoy the succession of water lilies, reeds and other aquatic plants along the way, a natural atmosphere. There are three bird-watching houses in the wetland. The first is the river-side bird-watching house. There are chairs and binoculars in the house. You can go up to the third floor to view the nearby scenery. At low tide, you can also see a variety of ducks and egrets on the first floor. and Spoonbill. Out of the riverside bird watching house is the mangrove pontoon, which is a pontoon bridge over the mangrove waters. On the bridge, you can be in the mangrove ecology. Walking across the pontoon is the nearby mudflat bird watching house and fish pond bird watching house. It is a good place to watch the true climate birds and wetland fish pond ecology in the wetland. Then, go through the Wilderness Trail to the Butterfly Garden, and watch more than 200 species of butterflies and moths in the park. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of flying butterflies when the sun is full.
