#Hong Kong Hennessy Road Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Address:
Hennessy Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong Island
Fook Tak Building in Hong Kong | A hidden art spot on Wan Chai's Hennessy Road
Although not many people have visited 'Fook Tak Building', it is actually on par with 'Tai Kwun', 'PMQ', 'Blue House in Wan Chai', 'South Wind Cotton Mill', and 'Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre' as one of the six must-visit cultural spots in Hong Kong for hipsters. It serves as a base for the local cultural and creative industries, attracting a variety of independent bookstores, galleries, handicraft shops, and movie screening venues.
For instance, the niche bookstore and art space 'Art Goose' on the 14th floor is the leading venue in the building, featuring English books on art and academia, as well as works by scholars and writers. Interestingly, the bookshelves in the store are made from transformed wine crates.
In addition, the 8th floor's 'Nomad Nomad' offers various workshops; the 'Happy Hippo Studio' on the same floor occasionally has some interesting installation art for visitors to explore; and of course, there are many other intriguing places for everyone to discover for themselves.

This street has fulfilled all my fantasies about Hong Kong

Taking photos is to better record life, and your Mr. Yu is online again~
-
If you want to list the street photography spots in Hong Kong,
there would be countless.
Just any street can be the backdrop for an Instagram-worthy shot,
but this street is my personal NO.1.
-
📍Hennessy Road, Gun Club Street
📷On the pedestrian bridge over Gun Club Street, one side is filled with taxis 🚕 passing by the road signs, and the other side captures the orange church ⛪️ and the passing trams 🚎
-
📷Photography tips:
-
1⃣️For capturing taxis, no need for a very long lens, 28-75 is enough, and remember to use burst mode when shooting taxis~
-
2⃣️To frame buildings and trams in the same shot, a telephoto lens is needed, just snap when the tram passes by~
-
3⃣️For post-processing, try to follow the style of Instagram and the like, for example, keep red as the main color for taxis, and orange for church buildings~
