The ferry took about 20 minutes and it costs RM5 per person only. Staying at Tuba Island Cottage is a bliss as it offers a serene escape with comfy vibes and natural atmosphere, perfect for those who wish for a calm and peaceful getaway. They offer a more spacious Superior Rooms with fridge, sink and other facilities as well as Standard Rooms for a more budget stay. All rooms are equipped with essentials like bed, bathroom, air conditioning, TV and kettle. Not far from Tuba Island Cottage, you'll find Warung Pokok Asam which serves tasty dishes like Mee Udang, Nasi Goreng Udang and many more. #hiddengems This is Tuba Island, Langkawi. A 20-min boat ride from Langkawi’s Tourism Jetty, Kuah. The boat transfer is really, really cheap per person, like $2, I can’t even remember cuz it was that cheap. There are plenty of small hotels and chalets on this island, so even if you’re going on a whim, you can ask around for a place to stay. It’s really is a quiet, untouched pocket of an island life for you to witness. The island houses some two thousand or less people (but during work days, even lesser, since a lot of the islanders work outside). Our water chalet is owned by a co-op that manages island’s tourism activities. Joining them helps their economy, so make sure to get the island tour package too! It’s for $30 for half a day buggy rental. We took that and it was soooo fun. So cheap too! Don’t forget to try the freshest seafood mee at their local stalls. The seafood here is amazingly fresh. Can’t get anything like it in the city.
