Winter travel plan - take your kids to the Snow Valley to cross the snowy country.
What should I prepare for hiking through the snowy countryside with my baby❓
[Chin] When the winter vacation comes, many mothers choose to travel with their children in the Northeast, but they are worried that their children will not be able to stand the cold because they are too tired [Cry]. As a friend who has received guests from the south for 18 years and witnessed too many mothers traveling with their babies, I would like to share with you a guide to taking a 5-year-old baby through the snowy countryside for your reference. If you have any other questions, please feel free to call the shopkeeper [Congratulate]

🚎About transportation:
1) There are 3️⃣ minibuses to the Snow Valley near Central Street every day, the price is 100 yuan/person, and the journey takes about 4~5 hours.
(2) From Snow Valley, cross Yangcao Mountain and walk 15 kilometers to Snow Town. For large luggage, ask the inn to find a car to take it to Snow Town. The shipping fee is 50 yuan per piece.
🕌About accommodation:
1. Snow Valley is much less famous than Snow Town. Many inns have standard rooms for around 150 yuan and include breakfast.
2. Accommodation in Xuexiang is much more expensive. Basically, a standard room in winter costs more than 1,000 yuan, and a slightly better one costs more than 2,000 yuan.
🚶♀🚶♀About hiking:
The main crossing: Starting from the Snow Valley and walking to the Snow Town is called the main crossing. You have to hike over a not-too-high mountain - Yangcao Mountain. The whole journey is about 15 kilometers (another 5km of flat road from the inn to the uphill entrance, we took a sled.), 5 kilometers of steep uphill road, and then 5 kilometers of downhill road. The whole journey takes 5 to 7 hours.
Reverse walking: Walking from Snow Town to Snow Valley is called reverse walking, and the distance in both directions is the same.
⛰️Features of hiking: Climbing up a hill, panting like a cow, the water vapor you exhale condenses on your eyebrows and eyelashes, making it feel interesting and hard, and even made Ya Cai cry from exhaustion. We took a plastic snow sled up the mountain, and the kids had a blast going down the mountain. They flew all the way down the mountain and were happy even when they fell.
(1) This is not an off-road adventure route, but an ordinary hiking route that can be easily completed by children around ten years old.
(2) Do not carry too much luggage when hiking to avoid wasting energy. There is no need to wear too many clothes, because you will get hot after walking a few steps, and you will sweat when climbing.
🥋🧥About equipment
1. Clothes: a thick down jacket or windbreaker + a fleece jacket + a thermal underwear. This is enough to cope with temperatures as low as -30°C.
2. Pants: a pair of windproof pants + warm autumn pants.
3. Shoes: A pair of warm, non-slip shoes is very heavy.
4. Gloves: A pair of thick, warm gloves is a necessity, otherwise your fingers will easily freeze.
5. Hats and masks: These are also necessities. The winds outdoors in the Northeast are extremely cold, and exposed skin is very susceptible to frostbite.
6. Crampons and snow gaiters: Crampons can protect you from slipping during mountain climbing and climbing. Wearing snow gaiters allows you to have fun in the knee-deep snow without worrying about snow getting into your shoes.
7. Other equipment:
(1) Thermos cup: When you are tired, a cup of hot water can bring you warmth and strength.
(2) Food: Bring some bread and chocolate to replenish your energy during the journey.
(3) Power bank: The cold weather can cause your phone to lose power quickly, so a large-capacity power bank is a necessity.
