#valentinescape #vianasjourney #deliciousfood I recently stayed in Holiday Inn express KK and had an early flight depart from there. It says on the hotel notice board that breakfast start a bit around 6/7am till 1030 but when I got down to the lobby around 0340, the staff mentioned that the breakfast is ready if I’m interested. It really surprised me because not many hotel I’ve been to so far that serve breakfast that early. They have plenty of choices, nasi lemak is the highlight for me with a lot of condiments and the congee is really good too. Plenty of side dishes as well as nasi goreng, fried noodle, local pastries and western pastries as well. Coffee machine include with chocolate drinks as well. It’s worth to wake up so early for this.

#2023travelwish The Breakfast are provided and quite impressed with the selection they offer for an Express establishment. However, I do feel they can and should improved on the quality of certain food serve, for eg the fruits can be cut nicer and fresher. However, generally the western offerings like croissant, bread, coffee and eggs are better managed. Breakfast, the most important meal of the day, is available daily from 6.30am to 10.30am weekdays and 7am to 11.00am weekends. Had a two nights spent at holiday inn express KK. A great hotel to stay with close to city centre with free breakfast in the morning. There is a bar at ground floor of the building whereby you can enjoy beer and refreshment. IHG member has discounted rate for food and beverages. Air ticket: Beijing to Kota Kinabalu Accommodation: We stayed at the Marriott Hotel and Holiday Inn Express. The outdoor pool at the Marriott is nice! The breakfast at the Holiday Inn is delicious. Food: 1. Fatt Kee Restaurant: Highly recommended! 2. Sasa Seafood Restaurant: Fresh seafood and good value for money! 3. Welcome Seafood Restaurant: A seafood restaurant recommended by locals. 4. Borenos Fried Chicken: Open 24 hours and sells fried chicken, which is super crispy! 5. Durian and Sabah fruit are a must-try! Itinerary: DAY0: Arrive in Kota Kinabalu by plane, you can take a simple stroll, no need to go to the attractions. DAY1: Mermaid Island + Kawa Mangrove (group tour) You need to take a car for about 2 hours to the pier, and then take a 40-minute boat to Mermaid Island, but Mermaid Island is really beautiful! Remember to bring seasickness medicine and have breakfast when you go to sea. Mangroves and Mermaid Island can be arranged in one trip. We took a taxi here on Grab. You can also charter a car tour at the entrance (80RM/2 hours) to check in at several attractions of the University of Sabah. Water Mosque is 5rm/person for taking photos outside, and 10rm/person for going inside. We just took photos outside and didn't go inside! Tanjung Aru Beach depends entirely on the weather of the day. Even if it is sunny during the day, you may not be able to see the sunset at night. You can check the weather at around 5 o'clock to see if it is sunny and judge whether there is a sunset. The sand on the beach is really fine! It's super comfortable to wade in the water! DAY3: Mamudi Island - Manukan Island - Suria Sabah - Gaya Street Mamudi Island and Manukan Island are very close to the city, a ten-minute drive to the pier, and then a ten-minute boat ride to Mamudi Island. You can play jet skiing, parasailing, diving, etc. on the island!

#Overseas travel The Holiday Inn Express is located in the city so it is close to Imago Shopping Mall, Night Market, and Jesselton Pier but most of all, the bedding is really comfortable and nice. The bed is soft and the pillows are comfortable so I understand why the flight attendants use it. The sofa bed next to the bed can be used as a bed so 3 people can stay there. On the actual reservation site This is a room provided for 3 people.

The strategic location made it easy to explore Todak Waterfront, Sinsuran Market, and Philippine Market. Although driving was challenging due to traffic, Grab was a convenient alternative. The lobby and check-in process were seamless, with friendly staff and a secure room access system. My Double Room was spacious, modern, and clean, with a comfy bed and pillows. The toilet was spotless, with complete amenities. Breakfast had adequate choices, and ample parking space was available. I highly recommend this hotel for its central location and comfortable stay. I'll definitely return!

The room is very comfortable, clean, and has complete amenities. There's a laundry room (self-service) and an ice machine at level 1, and surau at level 3. Hotel guests can also use the computer and printer provided in the lobby. There was a variety spread of buffet breakfast - simple but everything is tasty 😋 The service is fast. #holidayinnexpresskk
