Beach in Haikou
Holiday beach, 假日海滩 is the most popular with a vast and continuous coastline in Haikou. There are many food stalls and shops along the coast selling local dishes, desserts and snacks. There’s also live music near the food stalls at night. Coconut water sellers stroll along the beach and prices usually range from 10-12¥. There’s also this gigantic BBQ area which gets swamped at night. The city skyline can be admired from the beach. If you want some thrill, you can easily rent surfboards 🏄♀️ , ride a speed boat 🚤 or go parasailing 👍🏼

As a professional self-driving tour guide, I will introduce you to Hainan's self-driving tour route and some attractions.
Hainan tourism is mainly divided into three lines: east line, middle line and west line
east line: (Haikou) Wenchang-Qionghai-Wanning-Lingshui (Sanya)
Midline: (Haikou) Suichang-Qiongzhong-Baoting-Wuzhishan (Sanya)
West Line: (Haikou) Chengmai-Lingao-Zhangzhou-Changjiang-Oriental-Ledong (Sanya)
The above three routes are basically starting from Haikou and Sanya (end point). You can choose the starting place according to your own situation. The basic city and county arrangement order is as above.
Next is the route of each route
haikou
Holiday Beach:
Haikou sign location but the seawater has been polluted very dirty / Hh/
The seawater in other cities and counties in Hainan is much better than this. I dont think it is necessary to go there but there is a self-service barbecue area
crater geological park:
basin for climbing Friends can go and see the fare 60
Guan Lake Resort:
I personally think that this is one of the most worthwhile attractions in Haikou, Feng Xiaogang Film Corporation is This place
takes you back to experience the folk style, as well as a group of big friends and family in the wild water world paradise are suitable for crazy water parks. Eat and live in the new city of Mission Hills, there are outlets for love shopping
accommodation on different levels of star hotels also have a distinctive B&B can be said to be a complete and rich and mature resort!
and Moon Bay:
is also a mountain climbing project. There are temples at the foot of the mountain and the top of the mountain. Climb to the top of the mountain to see the panoramic view of Moon Bay. !
Family outings can bring children to the beach to play with sand, picking shells, etc. in the evening
Aerospace City:
This is the location of the rocket launch, like the aerospace business Don't miss the pots, you can only sit in the tour bus, you can only get off the train within the specified range, but the warehouse where the launch pad and the rocket are assembled is really shocking
Qionghai
Zibo Asia Forum meeting place:
a meeting hall of the meeting, the individual is not interested in hahaha. However, if you are interested, you can also observe it and feel the story of the road led by the national leaders.
:
a net red punch card place - set dining and clear bar The one-of-a-kind seaside restaurant
dishes taste good. In the evening, I will go to this with my family and friends, and enjoy the food and drink a little wine with the sea breeze. It is still very romantic.
:
The food must go to the card place! !
Seafood world, fresh and cheap, you can use a certain group to find the highest score
:
Because the center of the sea has a beach shaped like a belt, so the name is jade belt The beach water is very clean! It is highly recommended but still needs to be prepared for sun protection.

Winter family trip to Haikou and Wanning.
This winter vacation, I took my child to Hainan to escape the cold. Instead of going to the popular Sanya, we went to the relatively unpopular Haikou and Wanning.
On the first day, we took a direct flight from Shanghai Hongqiao to Haikou Meilan Airport, planning to spend two days in Haikou.
On the second day, we went to have the local specialty morning tea. There was a famous traditional Laobacha (a type of tea) shop not far from the hotel, so we walked there. The morning tea was very rich, and we tasted many dim sum that we had never tried before. After checking out in the afternoon, we checked in to the second hotel of this trip, Sofitel Haikou. The hotel lobby was very grand, and I recommend staying in a sea view room, as the view is great. You can take a taxi to Holiday Beach and Qilou Old Street from the hotel.
On the third day, we bought high-speed rail tickets in advance and departed from Haikou East Station to Wanning. We got off at Shenzhou Station and took a taxi directly to The Westin Shimei Bay Resort. We booked a first-line sea view room for two nights. Although the price doubled during the peak season, it was still worth it. The scenery was so beautiful. The hotel has a private beach and offers a variety of family activities for children. You can enjoy a quiet and leisurely holiday without leaving the hotel. For dining, I recommend Taiqiong Zaopo Vinegar Sour Soup Hot Pot, which is not far from the hotel. It is very local and delicious.
On the fourth day, we took a taxi to Riyue Bay, a famous attraction in Wanning. It is worthy of being a surfing mecca, as the waves there are really big, which is very suitable for surfing enthusiasts to challenge. The nearby popular seaside church is also worth a visit.
On the fifth day, we went to Shenzhou Peninsula. After checking out at noon, we went directly to the last hotel of this trip, Sheraton. This hotel should be quite old, but the facilities are still good. It is quite close to the popular lighthouse, so you can go and have a look if you have time.
On the sixth day, we bought high-speed rail tickets for the afternoon. We also took the time to have the famous Dongshan Goat Hot Pot for lunch. We took the high-speed rail directly to Meilan Station and flew back to Shanghai.

Haikou Beach Family Trip
A few days of leisure in Haikou, felt that other attractions were not surprising, but Hainan is indeed Hainan, and checking in at the three beaches in Haikou was still very pleasant.
1. Baishamen Beach. Before going to Baishamen, we went to the Hainan Provincial Museum. Apart from the shipwreck model, there were no highlights, not as good as museums in other places. But Hainan is too hot, suitable for taking kids out during the day. Arrived at Baishamen Beach in the evening, just in time for the sunset, which was beautiful. The sunset was slanting, and with an umbrella, you could cast a large shadow, one umbrella was enough for sun protection. Many people were swimming by the sea, and there was a small area surrounded by a few large stones, very safe for small children. The sand was fine, the sea was calm, the sunset was beautiful, and there were many locals. Across the road to the park, there were toilets and foot-washing areas, old but free. The price of small buckets and shovels was reasonable, regretted not buying them at the time...
2. Holiday Beach. We specifically chose a hotel by the sea for Holiday Beach, making it very convenient to go to the beach, but there were no shops around. It took ten minutes to walk to find a place to buy affordable water and food. The hotel had them, but at a higher price 💰. Apart from the expensive food and drinks, the hotel was nice, with hot springs, fish therapy, swimming, very comfortable. You can't see the sunset at Holiday Beach, just swim in the evening. There were many small fish in the sea, children had fun swimming and catching fish. The facilities around were more complete and newer than Baishamen Beach, but also more expensive. Knowing the prices at Baishamen, we reluctantly bought small shovels and buckets . Had dinner at a seaside food stall, not expensive. This place is suitable for watching the sunrise, pay attention to the time, the sun rises from the sea in two or three minutes. My literary skills are not enough, so I'll skip 100 words here (to express the beautiful sunrise). Checked the tide table (must go when the tide is low), Holiday Beach is great for catching the sea. Very suitable for beginners and children, not for eating, but for picking. No special equipment needed, no sharp reefs, just bring small shovels and buckets for the kids, near the non-swimming area by the pier. The beach was full of small shells, small conchs, small hermit crabs, small crabs, and sea anemones. With a shovel, you could dig out crabs, mantis shrimps, shells, etc. Near the pier, local fishermen cast nets, and there were many unwanted catches. We picked up small ribbonfish, small sharks 🦈 (the most exciting find), and the pier pillars were full of small oysters and mussels. Saw many unknown things in the fishermen's nets, better not touch them , just look. Of course, if you want to eat, don't choose here, because most are mini-sized. Maybe that's why there is no information or guides online about catching the sea here, no one except fishermen . We had the beach to ourselves, felt super great, both adults and kids had a whole day of fun...
3. Jinsha Bay Beach. The most beautiful sunset in Haikou (don't choose here for sunrise), the sunset is right in front of the beach, the most photogenic of the three beaches. Of course, hats and umbrellas are useless here, just use sunscreen and go later. The sand here was not as fine as the other two beaches, the waves were big, kids enjoyed sitting by the beach being hit by the waves , remind them to be safe. Met many people with professional equipment taking photos, and wedding photography teams. The sunset and waves were really photogenic. Remember to use the props by the beach, the swing must be swung, the highest point is the most photogenic . Tents, coconut trees, there was a path between the trees near the camping area, great for taking sunset photos from a distance. The sea was not glassy, but you could see the layers, clearer than Baishamen and Holiday Beach. Walking to the side of the swimming area, there were many broken oyster shells on the beach, I strongly suspect you could catch the sea here too, but too tired, didn't get up, couldn't confirm.
4. Others. Just play at the beaches in Haikou, none will disappoint. As for other attractions... whatever. Jinsha Bay is very close to Xin Hai Port, kids who haven't been on a boat wanted to experience it, took a cross-sea ferry, seriously counted how many cars were loaded onto the boat, lost count in the end... 😄 Haikou hotels and homestays are very good, reasonably priced. Taxis are very convenient, choose the cheapest option and you can get a ride immediately, no need to select multiple options like in other cities, no need.

Holiday Beach
Holiday Beach is located next to the Binhai Avenue in the western part of Haikou City, with a lush forest of Casuarina equisetifolia on the left, interspersed with resorts, hotels, and amusement parks; on the right is the vast Qiongzhou Strait, where ships shuttle back and forth, plowing through the waves like silver and splashing like jade. The sea water, sandy beach, and coconut trees complement each other, forming a beautiful and moving natural picture.
Holiday Beach is the farthest beach from the central area, but the transportation is still very convenient, with several bus routes available. The accessible bus routes include 28, 35, 37, 40, 57, 86, and Tourist Line 6, etc.

Haikou Holiday Beach | What I look forward to is not the snow, but the seaside with you
Hainan's largest coastal hot spring - Holiday Beach
Holiday Beach, located in the northwest of Haikou City, is 11 kilometers away from the city center. It starts from Xixiu Beach in the east, ends at the mouth of Wuyuan River in the west, faces the Qiongzhou Strait in the north, and reaches Binhai Avenue in the south. The beach is 7 kilometers long
Just stroll along the coastline, the sea breeze is warm, the tree shadows are mottled, and there are few people, making it an unforgettable experience
Scenic Spot Features
Located in the northern part of Haikou, stretching for 6 kilometers, the beach is next to the endless Qiongzhou Strait, and the coming and going sailboats are particularly fitting
The beach is composed of a sunbathing area, a marine sports area, a dining area, and a leisure area, making it a comprehensive seaside tourist and leisure destination in Haikou
There is also a special barbecue area and a water park on the beach, which are very lively in terms of space and time, and there are a lot of people
There are also yacht rentals nearby and many luxury hotels to choose from. Walking along the clean Binhai Avenue is very comfortable
Travel Tips
You can swim in the sea at Holiday Beach, there are lifeguards on the shore, so it's safer to go into the water~
Although the sea and sand of Holiday Beach are not as good as those in Sanya, it is still a nice place to go in Haikou~
It's quite suitable to come out in the early morning to enjoy the sea breeze and watch the sunrise, and it's a good idea to bring friends to have a barbecue and drink beer by the beach
It is recommended to go there around four in the afternoon when the sun is not too strong, you can play in the water, and also watch the sunset
Food and drinks in the scenic area are quite expensive, so you might want to bring your own stuff~

We stayed in a resort hotel, a bit far from the city center but very comfortable, and you can also enjoy hot springs
Who knows!! Winter and soaking in hot springs really go well together
Recommended to stay near Arcade Old Street🌟 This way, no matter which attraction you go to, it's very close
🚖Transportation:
Taking a taxi is the most comfortable, and the price is quite cheap💰, there are many electric cars in Haikou, renting a car is not as safe as taking a taxi
🍜Cuisine:
When in Hainan, you must try coconut chicken and Zao Zao vinegar!!
🌟Diao Diao Coconut Chicken (C'est La Vie Fashion Street Store)
Recommended by a friend, and I highly recommend everyone to try it too, it's the first time I've had such tender Wenchang chicken, the taste is light and nutritious, after eating we went directly to the neighboring 🌟Tai Qiong Zao Zao Vinegar for a refreshing and appetizing experience, we finished several bowls of soup and side dishes🤩
Hakka Ridge·Hunan-Guangdong Fusion Cuisine (recommended bamboo tube chicken oil rice 🌟), Hengxingfa Tea Shop, Thirteen Little Fried, Coconut Hall, Wenchang Deng's Refreshing Herbal Jelly (🥭mango rice noodle roll), Sanjie Hainan Noodles and Sugarcane Ice, Jinsuimen Afternoon Tea, Zhengfanghua Food Shop, Nanqiong Chicken Rice Shop, Songji Hainan Noodles Heritage Shop, Wenchang Chicken Coconut Soup🥥 ..
🌟🌟🌟Highly recommended Haida South Gate Night Market
Even if you don't go anywhere else, you must come to Haida South Gate Night Market❗️❗️It's really delicious! And the price is also very affordable, it's just too crowded, the dining environment is average, but it's very tasty, after eating you will want to come again, the next day we continued to take away back to the hotel to eat, among them 【Xian Duoduo Small Seafood】 raw marinated promised me you must eat 【Xiongji Small Meatballs】 whole octopus🐙 and shrimp🦐 silly egg 【Haikou's First Refreshing Herbal Jelly】 regular plus ice cream🍨 and other snacks are all so delicious, basically no misses
ps: The local driver said that Haikou's Holiday Beach and Wanlvyuan are the most worth visiting, and they were quite fun for us.

BRIAN CLAYTON
On the first afternoon of Haikou, we came to Holiday Beach, which is located in the north of Qingling Avenue on the west extension of Binhai Avenue in Haikou City. It starts from Xixiu Beach in the east and ends at Wuyuan River in the west. It is about 6.2 kilometers long and is from downtown Haikou. The area is 11 kilometers, the weather is fine, the blue sky and white clouds, and the scenery is infinite.
This should be a famous beach in Haikou. Although it is hot in the hot sun, it is still very lively. The long beach is the endless Qiongzhou Strait. There are also sailing boats. Parents and tourists will bring children. Play by the beach, along the holiday beach, there is a wide and clean coastal boulevard. It is very comfortable to take a walk here. In addition, there is a row of loungers on the beach. If you are tired, you can spend some money to rent a bed to rest.
The sea here is so blue
KRISTINA.
Before I came, I actually consulted the local lady. She said that in fact, local people are less likely to go to the holiday beach. There is a little distance from the city center. Most of the locals will go to the Wanlv Park and take a walk in the park. But when we arrived at the holiday beach, we found that it was not lonely. There are still a few people playing kiteboarding along the beach. There is also a handsome little brother. When you laugh at him, he will respond very embarrassedly. It is cute. We also took off our shoes and rushed to the sea. The sand here is a little bit tight, and the sand is not particularly delicate, so it is better to wear a pair of slippers to play on the beach. On New Year's Day, people here should be a lot less than Wanlv Park. You can bring friends here.
