Hokoku-ji Temple was built in 1334 (the first year of Jianwu) as a temple built by the Ashikaga family in the late Kamakura period. The bamboo forest in the temple is relatively well-known, so Baoguo Temple is also known as Bamboo Temple. Baoguo Temple is full of green gardens with a large bamboo forest, which makes people feel comfortable physically and mentally. There is a tea house in the bamboo forest. You can sit under the hut and drink the matcha made by the old grandmother, while quietly feeling the tranquility of the bamboo forest rustling in the breeze. Compared to other ordinary bamboos, the diameter and height here are larger.
