Fukuoka town where time flows slowly
Hita
A town that is neither crowded nor flashy, but in its quiet atmosphere, it feels like you are truly experiencing Japan!
If a day in Fukuoka passed quickly, a day in Hita passed very slowly and quietly.
A town that tells you that it is okay to stop for a moment and rest in your busy daily life, a trip that leaves you with a feeling rather than a sight to see, and a feeling of staying rather than a destination.
The place that left the deepest impression on me in Hita was Mamedamachi. Traditional Edo-style houses lined up in narrow alleys, tea houses, traditional confectionery shops, and small-item shops quietly operating inside, and when you enter one of the shops, it feels like it was there 10 years ago and will be the same 10 years from now.
