We enjoyed a hot spring trip and checked out the 'Attack on Titan in HITA ~ Attack on Hita ~' attractions. Hita City is the hometown of the author of Attack on Titan. The local area has created 'Attack on Titan' themed attractions, including a giant-slaying AR game that combines maps and scenery, and statues of the main characters Eren, Mikasa, and Armin at the Oyama Dam (Oyama Damu), as well as an Attack on Titan museum. The first must-see spot is the Oyama Dam statues. Gazing at the three young protagonists at the top of the reservoir, their fearful expressions vividly recreate the classic scene of the Titans attacking and breaking through Wall Maria. #Spring0yenTrip The first thing I noticed when I visited Oyama Dam was its sheer scale and the beauty of this man-made structure in the middle of nature. The dam lake was very quiet when viewed from the top of the dam, and the water reflected the mountains, giving it a refreshing feeling that made me want to take a deep breath. The dam itself is impressive, but it blends in with the surrounding nature, so much so that you forget that it is a landscape created by human hands. The sound of the flowing water and the gentle breeze are soothing, and just walking around is relaxing. There are observation spaces and benches in the area, so you can enjoy the scenery at your own pace. There is also a bronze statue of Attack on Titan, making it a great spot for fans. It's far from Hita Station, so it's hard for people like me who walk a lot and can't afford to spend more than 30,000 won on a taxi. This time, the annex, Attack on Titan in Hita museum ANNEX, has been newly built. The distance is cut in half, so it's about a 45-minute walk from Hita Station, and if you go by bike, it'll be half the time. The admission fee is 700 yen for those 18 years of age or older, and when you enter, they play a 5-minute video in the video room, which is really the best. The video is projected on three sides, and it's magnificent. There are no Hita tourist products or anything like that, only Attack on Titan goods.
