The Charm of Kibune that Kyoto Residents Should Know!!
I was born and raised in Kyoto, and I absolutely love this city.
It's not that I have specific reasons for loving it, but I've never lived anywhere else.
However, there is a downside to being a true Kyoto native!!
That is, you rarely get to experience the charm of Kyoto!!
I've only recently realized this, but it's a huge waste to live in Kyoto and not go sightseeing around the city!!
Take a moment to reset your mind, and explore various parts of Kyoto as if you were a visitor from another prefecture.
Kibune, in particular, is amazing!!
You can rediscover the beauty of Kyoto and fall in love with it even more.
In the summer, enjoy flowing somen noodles on the floor.
In the winter, savor Iwana fish and boar hot pot at a traditional restaurant.
And don't forget the power spot, Kibune Shrine⛩️
A journey to uncover the lesser-known Kyoto can be quite elegant.

Hirobun Experience
During our visit to Hirobun in Kyoto, we had the unique experience of trying the cold somen noodles served on a flowing stream. The serene atmosphere made it a delightful setting, but the long wait time was a drawback. The actual dining experience lasted only about 10 minutes, which felt too brief for the effort. While it was a unique and fun experience, I don’t think I’d return.#kyoto #hirobun #japan #summer #temples

Catch your food at Hirobun!
Hirobun is located in Kibune, a small mountain town outside of Kyoto.
It is one of the more laid-back riverside restaurants in the quaint village of Kibune.
We arrived there early, we started queueing at around 10 and the line was really long . Officially they open at 11 but they started at 10:30am getting payments and giving numbers . We had an absolute blast, it was super fun catching the noodles, the ambience with the waterfall in the background is gorgeous. Noodles and especially the broth were tasty. Definitely recommend getting there early as the queue was very long when we get there it was raining andI heard they close sometimes if it starts raining hard so check the weather before you go!
