Today, I visited Hiraoka Park in Sapporo. It's a large park filled with cherry blossoms, but most of them are short and not very tall. The flowers are not very dense, but since the cherry trees are not tall, it's perfect for taking photos. Close-up shots look great. There are also related cherry blossom products available for purchase along the roadside, giving off a strong Japanese vibe! #thingstodo Great park for a little adventure. Good for training on outdoor activities like trekking, hiking, and birdwatching. Note that there are two parts of the park: the smaller one with the sport fields and playground area, and the bigger one with forest and swamp areas and plum grooves. I wasn't aware of any connecting road between the two parts. The nearest JR train and subway stations are more than 2 km away.
