Every corner, adorned with ancient elements, told the story of the city's past glory, leaving me completely captivated. The hotel's location is superb. A 5-minute walk takes you to the majestic city walls, and the Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, and the bustling Muslim Street are only a 10-minute drive away. The snack street opposite the hotel offers a variety of Shaanxi specialties. Enjoying rou jia mo and hu la tang while watching Qinqiang opera and shadow puppet shows, I was immersed in the vibrant local life, and it also saved me a lot of travel time. My room was far from the typical minimalist style. Tang Sancai ornaments and ancient paintings, imbued with a sense of time, seamlessly blended with the charm of the ancient city. The spacious room, starting from 43 square meters, featured a large bathtub and a comfortable king-size Kincaid mattress, ensuring a good night's sleep. The breakfast buffet was extensive, offering a wide selection of Xi'an specialties like water-boiled beef and biangbiang noodles, alongside Western dishes. The Chinese restaurant, blending Shaanxi and Cantonese cuisine, presented exquisitely plated dishes, perfect for banquets. Although I didn't have time to experience the swimming pool and gym, it didn't matter, as the city of Xi'an outside was already more than enough to keep me busy. This stay, from the unique ambiance to the convenient location and attentive service, enhanced my trip significantly. During this week in Xi'an, the R&F Hilton Hotel, as the last stop of the trip, did not bring me many surprises. The hotel is located in the old city of Xi'an, within the first ring of the city wall. It has a good geographical location, but this also makes it smaller than other Hilton hotels of the same level. When we checked in it happened to be a high-price date, we received an advance notice email from the hotel informing us that the lounge was not open and happy hour would be enjoyed in the lobby bar on the first floor instead. R&F Hilton is the first Hilton hotel of Hilton Group in the northwest region. It has a sense of age and should be able to meet the standards of a flagship hotel in all aspects. However, after the actual experience, it was found to be below expectations. The hotel is very generous in upgrading the rooms and the breakfast is varied and unique. But the happy hour was perfunctory; the lobby bar lacked privacy; some of the hotel staff had blank expressions; the swimming pool was outsourced; and there was still much room for improvement compared to the Hilton Hotel in Lanzhou.

The rooms are well-insulated, effectively blocking out external noise, allowing us to enjoy a peaceful rest. The cleaning was meticulous, with every corner of the room spotless, the bedding tidy, and no unpleasant odors in the bathroom. 🏘️Room Type/Layout: The hotel is a stand-alone building. Although it's not very tall, the environment is beautiful, and there's a pleasant garden. The overall decor is quite new, stylish, and grand. The room layout is reasonable, and the space is well-utilized, making it feel comfortable and relaxing. 🛌Amenities/Facilities: The rooms are equipped with local Xi'an drinking water, which is excellent quality, comparable to Voss. The welcome fruit platter was abundant and diverse, and they even thoughtfully provided Terracotta Army chocolates, a nice local touch. The hotel facilities are comprehensive, although the pool is outsourced. I hope they can manage leisure facilities more independently in the future. 💰Average Cost Per Person: We stayed during a peak season, so the exact cost varies depending on the room type and length of stay. Overall, the price is mid-range compared to similar hotels. Breakfast is an additional CNY 68 per person. 💗Other Tips: - Perks: My partner and I are both Gold members, so the hotel offered four complimentary breakfasts. Since there were five of us, we purchased an additional breakfast after discussing it with the hotel. It's worth mentioning that since it was our anniversary, after informing the hotel, they thoughtfully decorated the room in advance and gifted us a bottle of red wine, which was very heartwarming. The executive lounge access was originally for two people for three days, but we discussed it with the duty manager to see if all five of us could enjoy it once, and the manager readily agreed. The service was very accommodating. - Breakfast: The breakfast selection is extensive, featuring local Xi'an specialties like rou jia mo, and the Danish pastries in the pastry section were also delicious, catering to various tastes. - Executive Lounge: A foreign gentleman was in charge of happy hour, adding a unique atmosphere. They offer three types of cocktails and many non-alcoholic beverages, and you can also ask the staff to make simple drinks. The food includes both meat and vegetarian dishes, like braised pork and green vegetables, offering familiar and delicious options. However, during certain peak periods, the lounge is closed, and happy hour is moved to the lobby bar on the first floor, which is relatively less private. - Location: The hotel is located in the old city of Xi'an, within the first ring road. The location is excellent, with convenient transportation and many attractions and restaurants nearby. However, because it's in the old city, the hotel is relatively smaller than other Hilton hotels of the same level. - Service: Most of the hotel staff are warm and attentive, check-in was efficient, and they met many of our reasonable requests. However, there were a few staff members who seemed expressionless. I hope they can strengthen staff service awareness training. Overall, the hotel has many satisfying aspects and some areas for improvement. I look forward to an even more perfect experience in the future.

It's only a 5-minute walk from the Ming City Wall, and only a 10-minute drive to the Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, the famous Muslim Quarter, and the Shaanxi History Museum, which is very difficult to book. The hotel is conveniently located opposite a street full of local snacks, where you can also enjoy performances such as Qinqiang Opera and shadow puppetry. The hotel is a step away from the scenic area, saving you a lot of travel time and greatly enhancing your travel experience. 🏛️Unique design style The entire hotel is full of elements from the Tang and Qin dynasties, making it the most distinctive Hilton hotel I've ever stayed in. Hilton Series ~ Hilton Xi'an Hotel 🍜 | As one of the few international chain hotels within the ancient city wall of Xi'an, apart from the well-known Sofitel Legend, there is only the Hilton near Yongxingfang. Location︓The location is pretty good. The nearest subway station is Wulukou. I don't recommend driving within the Xi'an city wall. It's only a few hundred meters away from the subway station, passing Wanda. It's very close to Xi'an Station. It takes about 40 minutes to get to Xi'an North Station by subway. It is not far from major tourist attractions, except for the Terracotta Warriors in Lintong. Price: The price of a calendar room is usually between 600 and 700. It should be cheaper in the off-season. However, the hotel was fully booked from the 1st to the 20th of this month, and the room rate only eased a lot when the school season was approaching. Facilities and dining︓The hotel upgraded the corner suite, which is relatively quiet. The room is very classic, with a feeling of the heyday of the Tang Dynasty. The welcome fruit is also great, but the hotel is relatively old, and there is no way to avoid the problem of many old equipment. The lounge was not open, so we ate in the lobby bar on the first floor. There were three hot dishes, two meat dishes and one vegetable dish. The dishes were quite good. What was new was that the waiter was a foreigner from Azerbaijan, and his Chinese was good. The breakfast was pretty good, with many local snacks from Xi'an, and you wouldn't step on thunder.
