Unexpectedly, the Korea Tourism Organization has transformed its own office building into a popular photo spot, known as the "HiKR GROUND" hospitable space. The first floor features videos introducing Korean culture and K-POP culture, while the second floor offers various music video shooting scenes, such as a dynamic train and a kitchen. There are also trainees from the Korea Tourism Organization, who are brothers and sisters in training, and they occasionally come to the site to join in on KPOP. The third floor has some art installations and small screens where you can sit on a lazy sofa to daydream or go doodle on postcards. The fourth floor houses a cafe, where you can order a coffee and rest after a long walk. Visit Korea tourism board is a great platform to promote the Korean culture. Many Korean fans will want to visit Korea after consuming their music and drama. So riding the Korean wave is best to start from this new HIKR ground which is free entry to all. There is also no need to make any appointment and you can come anytime from 10am to 7pm and they are closed on Mondays. You can even make music videos here with some of the scenes and songs from the popular Korean music groups. The free entry and dedicated place to Korean pop culture, the HiKR ground. You learn and discover about Korean drama, songs, wellness and many others in this interactive playground. There is a freezone drawing room whereby “drawing comes true”, you can pick up a drawing and start colouring. Then you can scan your drawing and it will be send to the interactive display screen. You can then touch the drawing to move it around. You can also use your own colouring pens but there are many stationeries provided. During the last day in Seoul, Korea i managed to go to HIKR Ground. Actually the HIKR GROUND was located at Korea Tourism Organizations Seoul Office and near to Cheonggyecheon Stream and a bit walking distance from Gyeongbokgung Palace. Hikr Ground is a perfect place for kpop fans to experience kpop and some media arts. Depending on the day they also have fun activities. It's easy to get there by subway or bus. #familytrips2024 Located together with the Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO) office alongside the lovely Cheonggyecheon stream, HiKR Ground is a funky exhibition space serving as a crash course on all things Korean. The thoughtful design highlights again why Korea is a dream destination for family holidays! On the second floor, you'll see some fun exhibits showcasing K-pop culture including a glowing subway car where you and your pals can re-enact your favourite music videos a la BTS. There are also hanbok available to try-out, which my family enjoyed. We also had fun interacting with the different exhibits where you could solve puzzles or make handicraft to redeem a cute souvenir at the end. If all this makes you hungry, there is also a nice doughnut shop located on the 5th floor for you to re-fuel! All-in, a good place to spend a couple hours in air-conditioned comfort while having fun for the whole family. A good choice to pop in in Seoul should the weather be not so great!
