Very good quality meat. Choose a black pepper cream sauce. Eat with grilled vegetables and French fries with mayonnaise, it goes very well together. ➡️ Tiramisu The pastry is soft, topped with a thick layer of mascarpone, but it doesn't taste like coffee or alcohol. So it feels more like eating a regular cake than Tiramisu. There are fresh fruits to decorate it to cut the richness. ➡️ Virgin Passion Ginger Thai This is a mocktail recipe of the shop that has the taste of passion fruit and ginger mixed together. #WinterTravel Sint-brigidakerk or St. Brigid's Church is the church of Koersel. This town is a small and quiet town, but during Christmas, there is a Christmas market held in front of the church. It is held for only 3 days during the weekend before Christmas. It is a real Christmas market atmosphere for locals, which is a different experience from big cities or famous tourist cities. So, let's stop by and take a look. The Christmas market here has various shops set up in tents, a Santa's cottage, and the surrounding area is decorated with Christmas trees and bright lights. There are rides for children such as a carousel, target shooting, game machines, etc. There is a stage for concerts. As for products, there are various ornaments and food such as cheese, chocolate, pizza, whole roast pork skewers, French fries, churros, various drinks, and smoutebol, or round dough balls fried until crispy on the outside and soft on the inside sprinkled with icing sugar. #GetDiscountWithoutLuck Sushi King is a fairly popular sushi restaurant in Beringen, Belgium. The restaurant is decorated in a Western style, not strictly Japanese. We ordered the following dishes: ➡️ Yakitori Grilled Chicken Skewers - The chicken is soft and grilled to a nice aroma. It's quite good. ➡️ Chicken Gyoza - Served with a thick, sweet and salty sauce, the same as yakitori sauce. There is no proper gyoza dipping sauce. ➡️ Spicy California Roll - Sushi roll with crab sticks, cucumber, omelet, wrapped in avocado, topped with spicy mayo. I didn't feel any spiciness when I tried it, but the overall taste was okay, just like a normal California Roll. ➡️ Kamikaze Scampi - Roll with fried shrimp, avocado, and spicy mayo, which is not spicy at all. ➡️ Hot Green Tea - I ordered green tea, but I got Lipton green tea with apricot flavor, which was sour, so it felt a bit strange. The service is in Western style. They serve free rice crackers while you wait for your food. They also serve tea and biscuits. Overall, it's pretty good. #TravelEurope Paal 26 is a restaurant in Lummen. It is quite famous among locals. You can tell from the fact that the restaurant is full from early in the day (we went around 6pm, which is quite early for dinner). Most importantly, it is conveniently located on the roadside with buses passing through. Even if you are not staying in the city, you can easily stop by if you take the bus that passes this stop. 🏠 Location / Atmosphere The restaurant is located on Paalsesteenweg Road, on the corner of Highway E313. In front of the restaurant is the Paal Veldstraat bus stop. It is a short walk away. If you rent a car, you can park in the restaurant's parking lot. It is spacious and convenient. As for the atmosphere, I must say that I really like it. The restaurant is a large building that can accommodate up to 250 people. There is outdoor seating at the back, and the surrounding area is decorated as a shady garden. Inside the building, there are 2 floors of seating. It is a high-ceilinged room decorated in a rustic style with exposed brick walls and wooden furniture, and is complemented by chic lamps. And a fancy bar converted from an old apothecary's cabinet. It gives off a very warm and cozy atmosphere. 🍽 Menu I tried ➡️ Complimentary Bread It's a bread with grains. The outer skin is quite hard and very thick, but the inside is soft and chewy. It's fun to chew. I like it. ➡️ Amuse Bouche It's pickled herring cut into tiny pieces, seasoned with a light, sour, sweet cream sauce and sliced ​​shallots. The taste is refreshing and fun to eat. ➡️ Duo van kaas - en garnaalkroket This dish is a shrimp croquette and a cheese croquette, served together, one piece each. The shrimp croquette filling is a thick, liquid cream with a distinct shrimp scent. It's fried until the outer skin is crispy and looks delicious. Sprinkle a pile of tiny shrimps on top. Eat it with the cream sauce served with it. It goes well together. Delicious. As for the cheese croquette, I think it's a bit too rich. It's a good thing that there's a salad on the plate. When eaten together, it's a perfect match. ➡️ Huisbereid stoofvlees leffe – salade This is a homemade rabbit stew recipe from Belgium that requires simmering with beer. The rabbit meat is quite tender, simmered with the rich stew water. The taste is a bit too sweet, but overall, it's really good. Most importantly, the price is quite friendly. 🏠 Location/Atmosphere This hotel is located in Beringen, Belgium, which is a small, quiet city with not many tourist attractions. Therefore, the room price compared to the newness and facilities in the hotel is considered to be very good value for money. It is suitable as a stopover point. The hotel is only about 200 meters from the nearest bus stop. The surrounding roads are flat and in good condition, so it is not difficult to drag your luggage. I heard that the area where the hotel is located is near the army area, which should be an area for soldiers to relax and exercise. There is a horse racetrack for horseback riding training, etc. Therefore, the view outside the window still has a lot of trees and grass to see. Looking far away, you can see horses running in the field. The hotel is a modern building in the style of a general Business Hotel. The lobby has a high ceiling that looks grand. The restaurant is divided into 2 sides of the building. The surrounding walls are all glass, giving a clear view of the surrounding area. In addition to breakfast, they also serve lunch and dinner. What's great is that there are unlimited drinking water, tea, and coffee available for free on the sofa in front of the lobby 24 hours a day. The wifi is also strong. #dreamvoyage Het Landerhuys is a restaurant located on the outskirts of Beringen, next to the city of Leopoldsburg in Belgium. The restaurant is a large and beautiful house. The walls around the restaurant are made of glass, giving it an airy feel. You can enjoy the view outside. It is a restaurant with a nice atmosphere that is worth a visit in this area. ****-Menu I tried-**** The concept of the food here is international (European) food in a homemade style. It focuses on menus that you can make at home without being fancy. However, it uses good quality ingredients. Most importantly, the portions are large and filling. We ordered this menu. ➡️ Tapas van de chef – ... or a mix of tapas. Although tapas are usually snacks, I can tell you that the portions of this menu can be eaten by 3-4 people. You can order just one menu and go back home full without ordering anything else. If you plan to have a light snack before the main course, you should find a group of 10 people to help you eat it. The set includes... - Patatas Bravas – Small fried potatoes topped with Brava Sauce, a northern Spanish style. The main ingredients are stewed tomatoes mixed with Tabasco sauce and various seasonings to give it a little bit of spiciness. It's quite delicious. - Patatas Aioli – Fried potatoes with spices. This time, it's made in the southern Spanish style by changing the dipping sauce to Aioli Sauce, which is served in a separate bowl. It smells of garlic and has a thick, creamy taste. It's fun to eat, but I like the first type better. - Pork Ribs – Fried pork bones, not seasoned much, served with salsa española sauce in a separate bowl for dipping. The pork is quite hard and cold. This is a dish that I'm not very fond of. - Tortilla – Thick, soft Spanish omelette with layers of potatoes. In terms of texture and taste, it's done exactly as it should be. But we were not satisfied that it was served cold (again), which is not wrong because tortilla can be eaten both hot and cold, but it just didn't suit us who like it hot. - Gambas al Ajilo – The shrimps were quite big, stir-fried with garlic and seasoned to perfection. We liked this dish. - Champiñones al ajillo – Mushrooms stir-fried with olive oil, garlic and spices. Even though it looks simple, I really like this dish. The seasoning was just right. The mushrooms were firm, fresh, crispy and juicy. It was incredibly delicious. - Onion Rings – Many large pieces of fried onions, with a lemon wedge to prevent the greasy taste. It was quite enjoyable, but not to the point of being addictive. - Spanish Ham – A set of tapas, how could we miss out on Spanish ham? The tray was served with many types of ham and chorizo ​​to try. The quality was good, and the quantity was a lot.
