Hengshui, Hebei | Who says Hengshui is only known for its high school?
| Who says Hengshui is only known for its high school? 🏞️
Hengshui is not only home to Hengshui Laobaigan and Hengshui High School, but also Hengshui Lake, the most beautiful wetland in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, as well as a rich history, culture, and cuisine!
🌈 Emperor Guangwu of Han, Liu Xiu, once led his army to battle in Shen County, Hengshui
🌈 Yuan Shao once stationed a million troops in Jizhou, Hengshui to fight against Cao Cao
🌈 Famous figures such as Dong Zhongshu, a Western Han philosopher, Sun Jing, a model of hard study in the Han Dynasty, Kong Yingda, a Tang Dynasty Confucian scholar, Gao Shi, a Tang Dynasty minister and frontier poet, and Sun Li, a modern Chinese writer and essayist, were all born or lived in Hengshui

3️⃣ Hengshui Anji Bridge
Built in the 31st year of the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. 🏞 116 meters long
🔆 In 1937, the Japanese invaders came south from the Fuyang River. Due to flooding, the bridge was submerged, so the Japanese blew up the middle arch of Hengshui Anji Bridge, which was later repaired.
🌠 Due to time constraints, there are still some places I haven't had time to visit. I'll come back again!
