Hell's Museum 🙏🏻🇸🇬
#singapore
We have been visiting the village of Hao Bar in order to take care of Chinese legends. What we found was an interesting dive into the concepts of death and afterlife from around the world with a specific dive into Singaporean culture and the ten courts of hell. I want to thank all the staff, who were kind and helpful in everything, had a lot of patience and made us feel very welcome. And I want to give a special thank you to Paul, who took a lot of time to explain to us the different parts of the exhibition and gave us an interesting insight into the traditions and culture of Singapore surrounding death and the afterlife, as well as explaining the interesting history of this place. It’s a great place to visit whenever you’re in Singapore and the small entrance fee for the Hell Museum is more than due! 100% I'll go there again when I get back.
For several decades I was taken to a villa when I was a child and I was terrified of the hell courts that haunted me for many years.
This recent visit as a mature adult exceeded my expectations, it was very useful, interesting and high-level as other First World provinces. Experienced people have led us through the paths of the introduction to the major religions of the ancient world that have put forward the universal realities of good and evil, reward, judgment and punishment in later life and how ancient religious principles are deeply rooted in Singaporean culture through religion, history and culture that reflect its multicultural society
I went out to learn more about Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoist principles of life, death and afterlife that are part of Chinese heritage and cultural roots. Thanks to the organizers
