At Nakanobu Station on the Tokyu Oimachi Line, I came to Kamishinmei Tenso Shrine (Hebi Kubo Shrine). The "white snake" has been a messenger of good fortune since ancient times (apparently). I went to pray with such a wicked feeling in my heart. First, I passed through a wooden torii gate, and a straight stone approach to the main hall stretched out. After praying at the main hall, I walked along the winding approach of white paving stones that resembled a white snake on my right, and on my right there was a white snake statue called "Nade Shirohebi". Since I was there, I tried to stroke it. Five steps further, on the right there was "Ryujin Shrine" and in front there was "Shirohebi Benzaiten Shrine". "Ryujinja Shrine" has a golden torii gate with statues of a white dragon and a white snake, while "Hakuhebi Benzaiten Shrine" has a red torii gate with white snakes on either side of the shrine. For some reason, I couldn't enter "Ryujinja Shrine", so I visited "Hakuhebi Benzaiten Shrine". Of course, I made a wish. Although it is a small shrine, it has some very stylish objects and is a nice touch. I think I arrived around 10 o'clock💦 There was already a huge line‼ ️ I waited for more than 3 hours and finally got in😅 Maybe it's because it's the day of the snake, but it's become so famous that it looks like it will be crowded this year💦 I was very surprised to see snake gods enshrined everywhere and even a waterfall😳 There were many things to see inside the shrine, so if you visit, please enjoy it☺️ I was glad to be able to visit the shrine as I had hoped, as I also received a goshuin! Hebi-kubo Shrine is known as one of the "Three Great Sacred Places of the White Snake in Japan," along with Iwakuni City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, and Oigami Onsen, Numata City, Gunma Prefecture. The white snake is so important that festivals and events are held there. Hebi-kubo Shrine enshrines both the White Snake God and the Hebi-kubo Dragon God, which is said to be rare even in Japan. The shrine has many fans, with many worshippers from all over the country, including the local area, visiting because "the snake dragon (standing up) = granting wishes for success in life." I wanted to improve my luck with money by spinning the coins and washing the coins, but because there were so many worshippers and the line was endless, only the White Snake seed coins that had been washed in the White Snake Pure Water were distributed, and I was unable to spin them. I placed the White Snake seed coin on the gold cup of the stone mill and spun it clockwise three times, then put the White Snake seed coin and my own money in a colander and purify it by immersing it in the water bowl at the coin washing place. I'll try again when the number of worshippers has calmed down. It's hard to get through on the phone, but since I made a reservation to ward off bad luck, I was able to visit without waiting in a long line.
