After a seven-hour train journey from Oslo, you arrive in the beautiful city of Bergen, and the sight that greets you is breathtaking. Nestled within the fjords, this city is surrounded by magnificent natural scenery. Bergen is primarily built on the fjords, so apart from the flat areas near the sea, the rest of the city is almost entirely made up of slopes, either uphill or downhill. To fully appreciate the grandeur of the fjords, I highly recommend visiting the Fløyen Panorama viewpoint. From there, you can overlook the ships entering and leaving the harbor and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the entire city. There are two ways to reach the top of Mount Fløyen: one is to hike, which takes about an hour and a half; the other is to take the funicular, which takes only ten minutes to reach the summit. My personal suggestion is to take the funicular up and then hike down, so you can fully experience the natural vegetation and scenery of the mountain. Compared to Oslo, Bergen offers more for tourists. I recommend staying in this charming city for an extra two days, leisurely strolling through its enchanting streets and savoring everything it has to offer.

It was a vacation with family to Norway. Just to share some of the places and restaurants that I’ve visited and enjoyed the most. Norway was truly a beautiful country. We were in a group of 4 and we visited many places. One of our most favorite place to visit was Mount Floyen. We took the Fløibanen funicular up all the way to the top and walk to central Bergen. It is definitely worth to go up to the top as you can see very amazing view 💯 If you were given a chance, do remember to pick the front seat so that you can capture best pictures without having people blocking in the front 🤣 They opened from 8am to 11pm everyday. Instead of buying the ticket online, we bought the ticket on spot via the kiosk machine. One way journey took about 15 minutes and it was around 85Krone, return costs about 160Krone. It is definitely worth to visit 🥰 Mount Floyen 📍5014 Bergen, Norway Our second favorite spot to visit in Norway was Kode Museum. This museum really amazed us! It is one of the biggest museum in Nordic region. The museum was made up of 4 different buildings and there were a lot of things to see, from art and crafts to music etc. We spent half days walking around the museum and we have learned and understand many history behind all the objects and Norway. They opened on Tuesday to Sunday from 11am to 4pm. Our tickets were 480Krones (for 4pax). We really enjoy visiting Kode Museum 🥰 Kode Musuem 📍 Nordahl Bruns gate 9, 5014 Bergen, Norway Just to share my favorite restaurant in Norway before I wrap up this post. I really enjoyed eating the Norwegian local cuisine. my favorite shop in Bergen was Pingvinen. The restaurant itself is small and menu were very limited. But all the items that we tried were very delicious. P/s: the portion is very big as well. Every dish came with their unique sauce. We visited the restaurant two times in a row 🤣The price was considered affordable. When we walked in front of this row of colorful wooden houses, it seemed as if we were in a fairy tale. When we walked into the alleys, we could still see the traces of the former trade warehouses. Now most of them have been converted into souvenir shops, bars, restaurants or personal studios, becoming a tourist attraction. Whenever the sky is cloudless, it is always full of tourists from all over the world coming and going, so lively! As the title suggest, visiting Bergen was definitely a bucket list for me. I had no regrets visiting Bergen at all. The skyline of the city is beautiful, something I have not experienced before, the city is clean and the food is just so delicious. The architecture is very pretty, very European styled buildings. A worthy trip for an appreciation of European Culture!

Bergen is a small.and walkable city. We experienced Rain, cloudy and sunny in our 5 days trip there. The people there mostly quite friendly n chill..Will definitely go back again . We took the Fjord cruise twice, one in a rainy morning and the other one was 6-9pm to catch the midnight. The view are magnificent, you need to be there yourself to see n feel it. Cable all the way up to see the whole view of Bergen from the top of the mountain.

Fish market is one of the well known place in Bergen and here you can explore lots of fishes which were caught in Norway . For example, salmon, crabs, cod , etc. The price is affordable and I ordered the sushi which was fantastic and delicious. Moreover, the Bergen fish soup was absolutely creamy and have lots of favour. This is a must go place and you can just enjoy the food and the river view when you having the meal. #awesomepic #norway

Stay at Moxy Bergen for three nights (21-24 April 2023). The hotel is located in Bergen, the second largest city in Norway, facing the beautiful seaside promenade. You can take the Line 1 light rail to the train station and the airport, and it is very convenient to reach the city center in four stops. Getting There - we flew to Oslo for a few days then took the Vy train to Bergen. this was a heck of a journey, but worth every minute of the 9 hours it took! the scenery is out of this world and a proper bucket list moment. Attractions - not a huge amount to do in Bergen, but I'd recommend the Fløyen funicular. the top of the mountain has amazing views over the fjords and city, as well as a fun park for kids, a place to eat plus lovely woodland walks (beware the trolls!) Hotels - Scandic Torget is a good value, clean hotel with a great location and delicious breakfast. be aware that the front facing rooms can get really noisy late at night. Food & Restaurants - this was a tricky one! it was Easter weekend so hardly anything was open. that said, we did eat at the fish market, which is expensive but excellent. you also have to try the reindeer sausage from the hot dog stall in the old town. Shopping - again, nothing was open due to the water holiday, but there are lots of very nice shopping areas and malls. #foodie
