#urbanexplorer #foodie #shanghai This weekend we explored Hanguo street in Shanghai. You can find it by taking a 5 minute walk behind the MixC mall. Once there, my favourite thing to do is to explore all the little food stalls and home grown restaurants. The food is very authentic as the stores are usually owned by Korean minority people who are very friendly to visitors. Don’t just stay outside though, inside the deceptively large malls are hundreds of stores dedicated to everything Korean.

I have been living in Shanghai for a few years and had yet to have visitedto this small neighborhood of awesome and authentic Korean restaurants. We had an awesome guide who was ethnically Korean but grew up in Shanghai. She introduced us to all the foods, some history and cultural facts about all the stops and was overall keeping everyone engaged. By the end of the tour, I was extremely full, satisfied and a little tipsy (thanks to the soju). Would have never found this place yet alone know where to go and what to order. Check this out, even if you have been living in Shanghai for a while. I guarantee there will be some things you haven’t tried in you regular Shanghai routine!

Located at the intersection of Hechuan Road and Hongquan Road, Jin Hongqiao Park is about to open soon. After two years of renovation, it has become a 24-hour open park, and the children's playground area inside has also been upgraded. The playground retains the original swings and rocking horses.
