| Grand in scale. Han Chang'an City Site Park is grand in scale and carries a heavy history. It was once the capital of the Western Han Dynasty, and the remains of the city walls are still visible, silently telling of its past glory. There are many palace ruins in the park, and although they have been weathered by time, you can still imagine the magnificence of the past. The park is covered with green grass and dotted with trees, which complement the ancient ruins. Various historical building foundations and excavated relics are displayed, opening a window for people to understand the politics, economy, and culture of the Han Dynasty. No ticket is required to enter the park. You can enter from Xi'an Gate, Zhicheng Gate, etc. The best time to visit is in spring or autumn.
Visit the Weiyang Palace ruins first, where you can see the palace foundations and feel the majesty of the royal family. Then go to the Changle Palace ruins to learn about the architectural style of the Han Dynasty.
There are signs in the park to help you understand the historical information. It takes about 3–4 hours to visit, and it is recommended to bring your own water and food.
