Trip to Hamburg 🇩🇪
It was a short weekend trip to Hamburg, Germany 🇩🇪
We started our trip by visiting Rathaus (Hamburg City Hall). It was built between 1886 and 1897, this Neo-Renaissance building serves as the seat of the government of Hamburg. It stands on over 4,000 oak piles. We joined a guided tour to explore the grand halls and learnt about Hamburg's political history.
📍Rathausmarkt 1, 20095 Hamburg, Germany.
💰Around €5 for guided tours.
We also strolled around St. Michael's Church (Michel). A symbol of Hamburg, this Baroque church was originally built in the 17th century. It has been rebuilt several times due to fires and wars. We climbed to the tower for stunning views over the city and the harbor.
📍Englische Planke 1, 20459 Hamburg, Germany.
💰€5 for the tower
I would also suggest you to check out a restaurant, Brücke 10. We tried out the famous Fischbrötchen (fish sandwich with pickles, onions, and remoulade), shrimp rolls, and crab salad 🥗
📍St. Pauli-Landungsbrücken 10, 20359 Hamburg, Germany.
💰 €5-€15 per sandwich.
Besides, we also visited Miniatur Wunderland. It is the largest model railway in the world, showcasing incredibly detailed miniature landscapes, including cities, countryside, and famous landmarks. Definitely worth your visit 💯
📍Kehrwieder 2-4/Block D, 20457 Hamburg, Germany.
💰€20.50 for adults.
We also explored Speicherstadt (Warehouse District). A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this is the largest warehouse district in the world, built between 1883 and 1927. It's known for its red-brick buildings and neo-gothic architecture. We spent some time to walk around and explored the unique architecture.
📍 Speicherstadt, 20457 Hamburg, Germany.
Last but not least, if you at looking for a place for dinner, you can try out Das Dorf. They served mainly German Traditional Cuisine. We ordered Labskaus** (a traditional sailor's dish with corned beef, potatoes, onions, beetroot, and a fried egg), Matjesfilet (marinated herring), and Grünkohl mit Pinkel** (kale with smoked sausage) which were all very delicious.
📍Glashüttenstraße 20, 20357 Hamburg, Germany.

Coming to Hamburg, standing in the square of the town hall, the solemn atmosphere always haunts everyone coming here, there is no loud voice, no footsteps, and tourists visiting the town hall are light and light. Language, quietly admiring the building. On the square not far from the town hall, there is a clear water area, which is home to many white swans, foreheads, and ducks. Just bought a bag of whole-grain bread that I don't like very much, throwing waste, it's better to give these little guys. So I tried to throw a small piece of bread in the lake, and I was immediately robbed by a few swans. The last swan swiftly swallowed it... I fed a little duck that looked at me with my eyes. I swallowed it eagerly, and then I followed me. Where do I go, I look at you with pitiful eyes, my heart will be gone~ but don't feed too much, it is not good to eat them badly.

The majestic building. A true witness to the history and explains its grandeur.
It gives a thought what Hamburg was even centuries ago and what kind of city it was.
The gothic architecture, the central tower, the figurines speak a lot.
Inside also it’s no less. The high curved ceilings not missing the symmetry. The intact flooring, sober lighting highlighting all elements.
The place commands its respects by leaving the entire place the visitors.
We visited it in a working day but a festive day.

Christmas in Hamburg
Hamburg is the perfect place to celebrate Christmas! There is so much joy around the city!
When heading to Hamburg I recommend using the metro throughout the city! It’s a quick, and easy way to see the city! Plus it’s a lot cheaper than getting a taxi places!
In Hamburg, I recommend going to the Christmas markets if there around Christmas time! When you go to the markets you can order hot drinks and keep the mug they come in! It’s a great souvenir and a yummy drink! #familytrip #christmastrip #Hamburg

The wind from Northern Europe blows along the Baltic Sea
The only city in the northwest of Germany that can be proud of is Hamburg, after all, it's like a direct-controlled city, the only impression is that shopping is extremely convenient, and of course, the degree of freedom here is also very high.
I personally prefer the red roofs of Southern Europe with sea views, but the green roof of the Hamburg City Hall also has a unique flavor. A pretty good photo of the city hall can be taken from the shopping promenade next door.
The building where the Hamburg Concert Hall is located is a building that Hamburgers are proud of. There used to be a Westin here, but it seems to have withdrawn now? Going to the pier to find a boat for a tour can visit Hamburg's Warehouse City, cargo ship pier, and warship pier. The duration is about 1 hour, and you can basically see the essence of Hamburg Port.
Less than an hour's drive north of Schwerin is another city of the Hanseatic League, Wismar, where the port still retains some red brick historical buildings, showing the style of the past. The pier is quite close to some very characteristic boats, with fixed departure times, and you can spend a few tens of euros to experience the sea.

Undoubtedly, this is the most beautiful single building in Hamburg. It is an extremely magnificent Renaissance style. It has great momentum and small details. It stands in the cold and snow of the North Sea for centuries. This is the spiritual center that the Hamburgers rely on. The symbol of a high degree of autonomy embodies the reluctance and pride of the Hamburgers who are not afraid of power.
The town hall is domineering, standing between the window stands with bronze sculptures of 20 German emperors from Charlie the Great to Franz II, which established Charles Charlie of Hamburg and Baba, which granted Hamburg the freedom of navigation. Rosa the Great is located in the middle of the city. This is a tribute to the imperial power, but it does not mean that I must listen to you, so the city motto of Hamburg - "the freedom won by the ancestors, the later generations should be cherished" is also engraved in the golden Latin form. The town hall building is the most central.
