Tokyo City Oasis: Leisure Time in Shiba Park
Day 1:
In the early morning, I arrived at Shiba Park, located at the foot of Tokyo Tower. It is one of Tokyo's oldest parks and a tranquil spot amidst the bustling city. As I entered the park, I was immediately captivated by the lush greenery and the towering Tokyo Tower in the distance. The scenery here was refreshing and invigorating. I strolled along the paths, admiring the dappled sunlight filtering through the trees, and encountered a few local residents exercising, adding vitality to this urban oasis. A highlight of the park is Zojoji Temple, where the ancient architecture contrasts beautifully with Tokyo Tower, creating a striking scene of old and new. I spent some time quietly exploring the temple, absorbing the profound Buddhist culture. In the afternoon, I headed to the nearby Tokyo Tower and ascended the observation deck to take in the panoramic view of the city. The bustling metropolis and its orderly streets were all within sight. In the evening, I chose to sit on the lawn in Shiba Park, gazing at Tokyo Tower bathed in the sunset glow. The tranquility and beauty of this moment left a deep impression on my heart.
Day 2:
On the second day, I extended my itinerary to other attractions around Shiba Park. In the morning, I visited Atago Shrine, not far away. This shrine, located on a small hill, features the steepest stone steps in central Tokyo, known as the 'Stairway to Success.' It is said that successfully climbing to the top symbolizes a flourishing career. I slowly ascended the steps, feeling a sense of accomplishment with each step closer to the top, and enjoyed a panoramic view of Tokyo from the hill. In the afternoon, I continued to Hamarikyu Gardens, a captivating blend of traditional Japanese and modern urban landscapes. I wandered along the garden paths, admiring the pond and artificial hills, and took a moment to relax with a cup of matcha at the teahouse. In the evening, I returned to Shiba Park to experience the beauty of Tokyo Tower and the park illuminated at night. This scene provided a perfect ending to my two-day journey.
