Before arriving at the 38th Temple, you can first go to the natural landscape Hakusan Cave Gate to take some beautiful photos for the internet. Hakusan Cave Gate is the largest sea-eroded granite cave in Japan. The heart-shaped cave is called "Sea God Blessing Heart Cave!" It is said to be an energy point for realizing love. You can reach the cave entrance by walking down the steep stairs along the coastal trail (a must-do), with irregular stones, the salty smell of sea water, the waves that keep advancing due to the rising tide, and the super-killing film. And the FREE Onsen above tge Arch is such a fabulous gift with the most amazing view. You are allowed to walk very close to the cave, but for safety reasons, you will need to wear appropriate clothes and footwear in order to do so! Impressive rock formation. The climb down to the sea level is worth the effort.
