Retreat originally meant a place of refuge, but recently it has come to mean "taking time away from everyday life to reset your mind and body and restart your daily life anew." Just as the word suggests, today was a day off to reset my mind and body. Waking up in a fluffy bed in a cozy room, bathing in a hot spring while looking at the beautiful mountains, eating a delicious locally produced breakfast, and taking a break at a cafe. Even though I was full, the cafe had some carefully selected bread, which made me happy. Surrounded by my favorite things and my favorite space, I breathed in lots of fresh air, and it was a day of feeling nature without thinking about anything. Hakone Retreat has many different buildings and villas, but the building where this room was located was conveniently located near restaurants, cafes, and hot springs. It was still cold, so it was nice to be close to the hot springs 🥹 Guests can enjoy unlimited coffee at the attached cafe, and other great services! This hotel seems to be quite unpopular. Highly recommended! A Nordic-style hotel hidden in the mountains of Hakone, with tranquil scenery everywhere. There are spaces for reading, working, and playing board games, and the bar offers unlimited free coffee and tea. It's amazing. If you don't book dinner at the hotel, remember to bring some food, as the nearby restaurants and convenience stores are not very close. You'll also receive a pair of socks per person upon check-in! There are 5 colors to choose from, and we chose the red one for good luck, haha. I really love the feeling of living in the mountains.

#FuriTabi I went on an overnight trip to Hakone Retreat Fore, a resort in the forest that can be reached by bus from Odawara Station or Hakone-Yumoto Station. It was surrounded by greenery, and the view from the room was beautiful. It was also nice that there was no TV in the room. I was able to relax and enjoy the view and the food. Both the dinner course and the breakfast buffet were delicious. In addition, at the cafe on the hotel grounds, we were able to play board games while enjoying free ice cream, shaved ice, and welcome drinks.
