Haining Juan Lake Park
Juan Lake is an artificial lake located southeast of Haining City. As the largest open "urban green lung" in Haining, it integrates ecology, leisure, and sightseeing. The lake is 4 km from the city center and 3 km from the Jiaxing-Shaoxing Expressway exit, making it convenient for travel and sightseeing. It has a unique geographical advantage.
Juan Lake was excavated in 2012 and completed at the end of 2016. It covers a total area of 200 hectares, with a walking path around the lake of about 8 km. The lake area is divided into six themed sections: aerobic activity area, natural scenery area, long embankment viewing area, cultural exhibition area, walking and sightseeing area, and quality experience area. There are also attractions such as Juan Lake Tower, forest and water banks, spring dawn flying clouds, and stone beam cold smoke scattered throughout. The good ecological environment provides a suitable habitat for wild animals, forming an interdependent ecosystem of migratory birds, aquatic animals, and plants. There are more than a dozen species of birds, including egrets, herons, and moorhens.
From the air, Juan Lake looks like a miniature map of Haining, or a "T"-shaped key that opens the door to the city's oxygen bar, allowing residents and tourists to fully experience the natural breath brought by the "urban green lung".
