Nichiren sect During the Azuchi-Momoyama period, Zuiryuin Nishuji, Toyotomi Hidetsugu's mother and Hideyoshi's sister, built this temple in Murakumo, Kyoto, in memory of Hidetsugu who was forced to commit suicide by Hideyoshi. It was later moved to its current location in 1961. It is the only Monze-ji temple in the Nichiren sect (a temple where royal family members and court nobles become monks and serve as abbots), and thus has a chrysanthemum emblem to indicate its high status. Since it became a holy place, it is called Murakumo Gosho.
