A Day Trip to Coloane and Taipa
⏰Itinerary Overview: Cotai Strip → Coloane Hilltop Park → Hac Sa Reservoir → Giant Panda Pavilion → Taipa Night View
🌅Morning: Stepping into the Cotai Strip feels like entering a lavish and extravagant world. The area is filled with hotels and casinos, with iconic landmarks such as the Venetian's gondolas, the Parisian's Eiffel Tower, and the Londoner's Big Ben. You can take photos that look like European postcards without leaving the country, making you feel like you're strolling through European streets.
🌳Noon: Departing from the Cotai Strip, head to Coloane Hilltop Park. The park is open from 06:00 to 22:00 and admission is free. The statue of Mazu at the hilltop stands 19.99 meters tall, looking holy and awe-inspiring under the sunlight. From the observation deck, you can enjoy the stunning views of Hac Sa Beach and Hac Sa Park, with the blue sea and sky in the distance, lush greenery beneath your feet, and a gentle breeze on your face, making it a truly pleasant experience.
🌊Afternoon: After descending from Coloane Hilltop Park, head straight to Hac Sa Reservoir. There is a 1200-meter bird-watching trail, and if you're lucky, you can witness the spectacular sight of thousands of egrets returning to their nests in the evening. There are also barbecue areas nearby where you can enjoy delicious food while taking in the beautiful scenery of the reservoir, relaxing your body and mind.
🐼Next, visit the Giant Panda Pavilion, which is open from 10:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 17:00 (last entry at 16:45, closed on Mondays, and public holidays are postponed). Admission is free. The pandas "Kai Kai," "Xin Xin," and their twin babies "Jian Jian" and "Kang Kang" live in a luxurious hilltop mansion of over 1200 square meters, and they are absolutely adorable.
🌃Evening: Start your Taipa night view tour. First, take the free cable car at Wynn Palace and enjoy the spectacular fountain show with music, where lights and water create a mesmerizing display. Then, head to the Parisian Eiffel Tower, take photos with the dazzling tower as the backdrop from the third-floor walkway and the tower garden. Next, stroll to the atrium of the Londoner Hotel to experience the British style, with Big Ben exuding a unique charm under the lights.
