Hotels I Stayed at When I Visited Seoul [HOMES RED MYEONGDONG] The facilities at this hotel were easily among the best I've stayed at in Seoul! Here's a summary of the great things about it! - Self-check-in and check-out machines✅ The machines are Japanese-speaking, so even if you don't speak Korean, the process is easy! - There's a Wow Pass machine! This is incredibly convenient for Wow Pass users! Not having to go out of my way to find the machine was extremely helpful! - There's a rooftop! The rooftop offers a great view of Namsan Tower! It would have been even better if there were chairs or something.😅 - There's a noodle station🍜 There's a station where you can enjoy delicious Korean instant noodles! The variety was great and it was fun! Perfect for a late-night snack! - There's a shared kitchen! You can cook if you feel like it! There's also a microwave, so I was able to heat up rice I bought at the convenience store! There's a freezer, so I was able to store my ice cream there too! 🙆 It's a wonderful hotel with plenty of room to relax and I was very satisfied! 📍2-minute walk from Chungmuro ​​Station 10-minute walk to Myeongdong! 🌟With a police box right next door, it's safe and secure! Nestled around the iconic N Seoul Tower, this park offers a perfect blend of nature, culture, and stunning views. 🌄❤️ I decided to take a leisurely hike up to N Seoul Tower, and even though the path was a bit steep, it was surrounded by picturesque scenery that made every step worthwhile. Once I reached the top, I was blown away by the 360-degree views of Seoul! The panoramic vistas are simply amazing, especially at sunset when the city lights start to twinkle. 🌆✨ And don’t forget to check out the famous love locks! Couples from all over the world have attached padlocks to the fences surrounding the tower, symbolizing their eternal love. It’s a charming sight, and I couldn’t resist snapping a few pictures! Tips for Visiting: ➡️Buy love lock elsewhere, as it's more expensive on top. ➡️No necessary to pay extra for the tower - the views from the park are free and really gorgeous (check out the pics) ➡️Visit before the sunset and see the day&night views ➡️Put on comfy sneakers and the climb is steep. ➡️There's a cable car that you can use to get up or down. This stunning historical site is not only the largest of the Five Grand Palaces but also a fantastic spot to dive into Korea's rich heritage. One of the highlights of my visit was witnessing the Changing of the Guard Ceremony at the main gate. It takes place every hour from 10 AM to 4 PM, with a special ceremony at 11 AM and 2 PM, featuring colorful uniforms and traditional music. Arriving a bit early is a great idea to find a good spot to watch and take some amazing photos! 🎉📸 For an even more immersive experience, consider renting a hanbok, the traditional Korean attire! Many rental shops in the area offer hanbok for a reasonable price, and the best part? When you wear a hanbok, you can enjoy free entrance to the palace! 💖👘 It’s a fantastic way to stroll through the palace grounds while feeling like you’ve stepped back in time. Tips: ✨️Arrive early to rent a hanbok hassle-free. They will make your hair, too. The reasonable price would be 15000won per 2-hour renting. A Seventeen concert with a variety of music and plenty to see! The venue felt closer than the previous Incheon Asiad concert, and the weather was great, allowing me to fully experience the outdoor concert atmosphere. 📌Sangam World Cup Stadium Address: 240 World Cup-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul World Cup Stadium Station (Line 6) > It's very crowded during the concert, so I recommend walking 10-15 minutes from Digital Media City Station. It's especially crowded after the concert, so I recommend going to another subway station instead. 📌Personally, this was my favorite concert venue I've ever been to. The elevated trolley car park is close to the audience, so the view is comfortable even from the second floor. I was very satisfied with the concert! I was happy to be able to make great memories with SEVENTEEN and CARAT, and it was an even more memorable day because it was the last concert I could see with all of them! A visit to the London Bagel Museum, a hugely popular bagel shop in Anguk, Seoul. The second floor has been renovated and now offers dine-in options! To make a reservation: ☑️On-site registration begins at 7:30 AM or ☑️Online reservation at CATCH TABLE GLOBAL (9:00 AM - 1:00 PM / Closed on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays) I was a little late, making an online reservation for dine-in at 9:56 AM, and there were 104 other groups waiting! I got in around 12:15 PM. 🥯 If you're just ordering takeout, your turn will come around a little quicker. It's also convenient that they send you emails when your turn is approaching! While you wait, we recommend browsing the shops in the Anguk area. With so many cute goods and cafes, you can kill time by strolling around. The interior of the shop is reminiscent of a London deli, and each bagel is freshly baked and generously portioned. The signature spring onion bagel was so over-stuffed with cream cheese that it was a bit too hard for me in my 40s. 😇 The seasonal fig bagel was delicious! Mokmisanbang (목멱산방) 71, Bugye-ro 20-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul This restaurant has been featured in the Michelin star guide for three consecutive years, making it a very popular and talked-about spot! ✨✨ Although it's in Myeongdong, it's a bit of a hill, so I recommend taking a taxi. ◎ The meal is packed with colorful vegetables, making it highly nutritious. 🥑 The meat and vegetables were thoroughly mixed together, making it even more delicious! ❣️ The portions are large, so if you have a small appetite, it might be worth sharing! I also ordered seafood pancakes to go with my bibimbap! I've been hooked on the Jongno area lately, and I mostly stay in hotels in the Jongno 5-ga area. If you're traveling solo, I highly recommend this place 🏨 It's within walking distance of Gwangjang Market. The nearest station is Jongno 5-ga. It's a bit of a walk from the station, so it might be more suited to experienced travelers than beginners. The room's interior was cute, and the bedside table was incredibly comfortable to use 😍 (I broke a bone, though). Although the bathroom is a modular bath, the toilet and shower are separate, so it wasn't a big deal ✨✨ The bedside outlets and dresser are great for women. I visited a concept store in Seoul called Gentle Monster called Haus Nowhere, where I was greeted by a huge breathing dachshund dog and surreal installations with a human robot and robotesses, creating a fantastic atmosphere of unreality. The store sells beautiful glasses, perfumes, and porcelain dishes, and the dog has become part of the art object. I spent several minutes watching its movements and couldn't believe my eyes! The robots also captivated me! The store has a delightful aroma, the staff is smiling, and everyone is very friendly! This space combines fashion, art, imagination, and beautiful people. I walked around all the floors and looked at all the collections. I returned to the dog and watched it again, and this time its ears were twitching😆 The store opens at 11:00, and if you arrive early, you can sit and eat at the CU store across the street

Most people probably plan their trip to Busan with an overnight stay, but did you know that domestic travel between Seoul and Busan is incredibly affordable and great value? 😳 The reasons I recommend day trips are: ☑︎It's a domestic flight, so it's relatively cheap, even on weekdays and weekends. ☑︎It's a domestic flight, so there's no immigration. ☑︎You can leave in the morning and return at night, so you can stay longer. With these benefits, I highly recommend a day trip to Busan! This morning, I entered Daehanmun Gate, the majestic entrance to Deoksugung Palace, where autumn leaves framed the traditional wooden architecture in warm golden hues. Walking inside Deoksugung Palace, I wandered through graceful palace halls and stone-paved paths, where modern skyscrapers rise just beyond the ancient walls — a perfect blend of old and new Seoul. Later, I explored the Korean Empire Museum, uncovering the fascinating stories of the Korean Empire’s last years and its cultural legacy. ✨ Autumn here makes everything feel timeless — fallen leaves on palace steps, crisp air in the courtyards, and history echoing softly among the ginkgo trees.

Maybe it’s the age, but lately I find myself drawn more to quiet, comforting places than to the noise and excitement of the city. Here, the traditional beauty of hanok houses blends seamlessly with modern touches, creating an atmosphere both nostalgic and refreshing. Walking slowly through the village, every wooden frame, every curved roof seemed to whisper stories of the past, while the surrounding mountains brought a calming presence. I took my time to capture photos at an unhurried pace, letting myself breathe and simply enjoy the moment. Each corner revealed a different charm — a delicate detail on a hanok wall, a peaceful alley, a view of Seoul softened by tradition. Eunpyeong Hanok reminded me that even in a bustling city, there are hidden spaces where you can find serenity. A Seoul that is gentler, slower, and quietly beautiful. 💛
