Hiking in the city⛰️ My own peak moment found on Gwanaksan
#SeoulTravel
I usually pass by Gwanaksan in a hurry,
but today I decided to climb slowly, one step at a time.
Even though it's in the middle of Seoul,
the sound of the wind and the smell of the soil welcomed me the moment I entered the forest path.
🌿 The beginning is a flat perimeter path,
it's nice to walk like taking a forest bath, and the real uphill starts from the middle.
It's not that difficult, but you'll sweat a lot—
I recommend wearing hiking boots instead of sneakers!
🚩 It takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to get to the top.
Every time I look down at the Seoul cityscape from the observation points that appear here and there,
I can't help but think, "Why did I do this now?"
📸 Recommended photo spots!
Yeonjudae: The golden view is complete with the sunset as the background✨
Mid-hill rest area bench: The combination of the Seoul view + sunlight is so pretty
🧃 Water and snacks are sold at the rest area after passing the mid-hill,
and the wind is strong at the summit, so be sure to bring a thin windbreaker!

💡 Hiking beginner tips
It's still a little cold in early April, so bring a windbreaker or jumper.
**Honsan (climbing alone)** is also not burdensome at all
The sound of your feet on the dirt road, the leaves rustling in the wind,
and a breath of cool air at the summit. Today,
Thanks to Gwanaksan, I came down feeling light in body and mind.
