Hainan's unique Lingao Ancient Silver Waterfall
Lingao Ancient Silver Waterfall!
Visiting Hainan, you can enjoy not only the sea but also waterfalls. Although the Lingao Ancient Silver Waterfall is not as grand and vast as the Fengguo Mountain Waterfall, which spans across a thousand-zhang gorge, nor as majestic as the Baihualing Waterfall that plunges 300 meters from a cliff, the Ancient Silver Waterfall is surrounded by dense forests, ancient trees, and vines, with intertwined roots; it also features peculiar peaks and a forest of strange rocks, highlighting the characteristics of Hainan's tropical rainforest waterfall scenery.
The Lingao Ancient Silver Waterfall is a natural waterfall formed by a drop in a flat plain, with a drop of 20 meters and a width of 20 meters. At the base of the waterfall is a deep pool, about 400 square meters in area and about 10 meters deep. The waterfall changes unpredictably throughout the seasons, with increased water flow during the rainy season, creating a momentum like thousands of horses galloping, a sound like thunder piercing the ears, and raging torrents cascading down, striking the rocks, causing the deep pool to churn like the overturning of rivers and seas, surging up to several meters high; during the dry season, the waterfall becomes extremely gentle and tranquil, with strands of light reflecting the greenery of the forest. The surrounding woods are lush, covered with dense shade, and strange rocks stand tall in various shapes, with mist lingering, birds singing in the mountain streams, resembling a heavenly paradise.
The Ancient Silver Waterfall is the largest waterfall in northern Hainan, and with its exquisite scenery, it is known as a Lingao attraction, a unique sight in Hainan.
