Off-the-Beaten-Path Travel | One-Day Tour Guide for Georgetown, Guyana
Global Travel to the 103rd Country—Guyana🇬🇾
A niche destination with hardly any tourists
It takes an hour's drive from the airport to the city center of the capital, Georgetown
There aren't many attractions in the city, and you can tour them all in one day
Spend the second day staying in the hotel, gazing at the sea view and zoning out👀
This marks the end of the journey through South America💕

✨One-Day Tour in Georgetown
📍Guyana National Museum
The Guyana National Museum is actually quite small🆓
The second floor displays animal specimens, while the first floor is an exhibition of Guyana's history and culture
💡Closed from 12-1 PM, check the time in advance to avoid a wasted trip
📍St George's Cathedral
Near the museum is St. George's Cathedral⛪️, a Gothic Revival wooden structure that was once the tallest wooden building in the world and is a must-visit in Georgetown.
📍Botanical Gardens Guyana
The Botanical Gardens of Guyana is one of the few attractions, with quite nice scenery, and 📍The 1763 Monument nearby is also worth a visit.
📍I Love Guyana Sign
A photo spot near our hotel, close to the seaside, and 📍Umana Yana is also nearby to visit.
📍Kingston Seawall Esplanade
The waterfront promenade in Georgetown, where many locals come to see the sea, but the seascape here is just average, with yellowish water, not very photogenic~
.
🏨Guyana Marriott Hotel Georgetown
The environment of the Marriott in Georgetown where we stayed is quite nice
It's also one of the few upscale hotels here
The sea view suite has a great view🌊perfect for a leisurely stay...
