The café is tucked in the busy and bustling street of Gurney drive in Penang, a little difficult to find a parking spot at this area. There are plenty of seatings and tables at the café, with 2 levels of seatings, with minimalist and clean decor. The ambiance is rather cozy, great place to get some work done while enjoying the view! Would revisit whenever we are craving for some good coffee!

#2024wish The Loft Pizzeria and Bar has recently opened a new branch at Gurney Plaza, and we knew we had to give it our second try. Why second? Because our first experience at their first branch at Love Lane was pretty mediocre. While the ambience and interior was really beautiful and sophiticated, the pizza was still subpar. All the dishes were good! The portion was pretty decent considering the price. It is quite crowded when we patronized the restaurant but there is plenty of seats available. For dinner on the 2nd day, I will take everyone to Anjung Gurney Food Centre. I took a bus from Komtar Mall, route 101, fare 1.40 ringgit, to Gurney Plaza Mall. This area is called Gurney Drive, quite far from Penang. As I said, the star of our day is Anjung Gurney Food Centre. Walk through the middle of the mall and exit through the back door. Then turn left and walk straight ahead, you will see the prominent food centre sign. There are many types of food to choose from. We can buy from any shop and find a table to sit and eat. This used to be one of Penang’s longest and most beautiful beaches. Some of my senior friends recall how they used to come here to swim when they were young. But today, you’d barely believe you are next to the sea. At current, Gurney Drive is an eyesore of a reclamation land project which will host a park where there was the sea. There’s metal fencing along the whole drive, and it kind of look like a prison. Stop aping Singapore, dear Penang: can you be yourself sometimes, please? But Gurney Drive is where gullible tourists come to have overpriced “authentic” Penang Food, and browse the two huge shopping malls, Gurney and Gurney Paragon.
