It was a trip to Bandung, Indonesia. Just to share some of the places and key things to note about this trip. We visited Tangkuban Perahu Volcano 🌋 This is an active volcano. I would recommend you to bring a mask to avoid inhaling sulfur gases. Do wear comfortable shoes for walking around the craters. We explored the craters, enjoyed the views, and visited the hot springs nearby. Very worth to visit ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 💰IDR 200,000 (~USD 13) 📍Cikahuripan, Lembang, West Bandung Regency We also visited Kawah Putih (White Crater). The crater lake is known for its striking turquoise color, which changes based on the weather. The smell of sulfur is strong so wearing a mask is advisable. We walked around the crater, took photographs, and enjoyed the ethereal scenery. 💰IDR 75,000 (~USD 5) 📍 Sugihmukti, Pasirjambu, Bandung Regency If you are looking for a good place for lunch, I would recommend you to try Dusun Bambu Family Leisure Park. This is a beautiful park setting with a lake and bamboo structures. We tried out the Nasi Liwet, Sundanese cuisine. The food was so good and we really love it. This is a popular spot, so expect crowds on weekends. 💰IDR 100,000 – 200,000 (~USD 6.50 – 13) 📍Jl. Kolonel Masturi KM 11, Cisarua, Bandung Barat We also explored the Ranca Upas (Deer Conservation Park). We were managed to buy some food on the spot and feed the deer 🦌 This is a very popular camping spot so I would recommend you to visit during the weekday. If you love natural hot springs, you can also explore the hot spring nearby. 💰 IDR 25,000 (~USD 2) 📍 Jl. Ciwidey-Patengan KM 11, Rancabali, Bandung We also visited Situ Patenggang (Patenggang Lake). A scenic lake surrounded by tea plantations. We rent a boat to explore the lake, the view was really beautiful and it is definitely worth to visit. 💰 IDR 25,000 (~USD 2) 📍 Ciwidey, Bandung Regency I would also recommend you to check out the Tea Plantations at Rancabal. Guided tours available to understand tea processing. I would say the Best visiting timing would be early in the morning for the misty atmosphere. We walked through the tea fields, visited a tea house, and tried sample local tea 🍵 📍 Jl. We explored activities like zip-lining, walking on suspension bridges, and enjoying the forest atmosphere. And is also the capital of West Java Province. The people here like to grow rice terraces because the terrain is a valley. And the weather is cool all year round. It was a great experience at Tangkuban Parahu Mountain since it was my first time visiting it. I arrived at 8 am and it was not that crowded because it was weekdays and most of the people were working, the weather was clear but freezing. I liked the view because I could see the crater clearly. There were a lot of food and souvenirs there but be careful to ask the price first and compare it with the other shops. The ticket price was around 30K Rupiah and it was worth it. the air was clear and the people there were so friendly, there was also tourist guides if you need them, they will tell you everything they know

It's beautiful place and listen to the legend shared by the locals. They will guide you throughout your journey at Tangkuban Perahu, and don't forget to tip them! A must go if you come visit Bandung. We took out our drone to play it but was stop by the ranger and wanted to charge us SGD$100. Tip: Sneak and use your drone somewhere deeper in the forest area to get a quick shot of the place! Risky, but worth it. Visit the cave nearby too. 30mins hike. It's pretty spooky, though. Absolutely thrilling experience to be at the very edge of an active crater. Lots of sellers to sell you junk, best to avoid. But well worth it in my opinion. Not the sort of thing one can do often. I went to Tangkuban Perahu, a volcano in Bandung, Indonesia. It is located in a place called Lembang, north of Bandung, and you need to get there by car from the city center. It was lightly raining on the day we went, so the view wasn't very good, but I've heard that on sunny days the view is very beautiful. There were places where something was bubbling up and a wind was blowing that gave off a strong sulfur smell. Mount Tangkuban Perahu has a distinctive shape; it looks like an “overturned boat”. Legend has it that this volcano was created by the anger of a man named Sangkuriang, who was promised a marriage by his own birth mother Dayang Sumbi if he can succeed in the challenges she gave him. The wrath that emerged from being cheated on, knowing that it is Dayang Sumbi herself that betrays her own promise, made him kick the boat he made himself, turning it into a volcano named Tangkuban Perahu. Here you will be greeted by sulfur fumes which the crater continues to emit although the volcano is not active.

We rent a car with driver about IND 600K perday. About 30km from Bandung city and takes about 90 minutes on weekdays. Entry ticket INR 20k for local and foreign visitor INR 200k/person. Suggested going early in the morning, in order to avoid the mist which tends to come in during early afternoon. When the mist come it will block the views of crater.

Perjalanan amat lancar tetapi perlu tempuhi sedikit kesesakan lalu lintas di beberapa kawasan. Sebelum sampai ke tempat ini, saya telah berhenti sebentar di Farmhouse Bandung.
